Most of us,
When we think of our identities,
We think about whether we're male or female,
Maybe how wealthy we are,
What our job is,
How old we are,
You know,
Who we love,
Our partner,
Our children.
And we think that's us.
But we're way,
Way more than that.
We're infinite beings in human form.
You know,
In the East,
With their highly developed spiritual traditions,
They say that we've had many lives,
Many,
Many lives,
You know,
Even a thousand or more.
We come as different people,
Looking different,
Male or female,
Different colors,
Different races.
And we're here to explore life on earth.
So we tend to live out every possible variation on the experience of life,
You know?
We'll have lives where we're highly intelligent and lives where we're not.
Lives where we're very healthy,
Lives where we're disabled.
It's to give us the full experience of being human on the earth plane so that the finishing of all our lives is that we finish as we discover a compassion within us,
A compassion that's come from many,
Many lives.
Yeah.
You know,
Even if we've had a lot of lives,
Even trauma as a young person will impact us less because we've had so many lives and so much experience here and so much experience of the intrinsic goodness and love within everything that we're actually can surface from trauma more easily.
Yeah.
So remember if you're struggling at all,
Remember you have other lives where you solved major problems and the skills and trust you had in other lives can surface in this one.
You know,
For me,
I was going through a very difficult time and the whole idea of compassion,
Compassion for myself and others just bubbled up from within.
And I realize now it came from some Buddhist lives I had where I was highly spiritual and really focused on compassion and it surfaced again and saved me.
And even skills from other lives can surface.
So never give up on yourself and open your heart to yourself and forgive your imperfections and forgive others their imperfections.
And just gradually your life will get better.
I promise,
Amma describes it as pouring clear water into a glass of salty water.
Over time,
All the salt leaves and you're just left with a clear glass of water.
And that's what happens in a truly loving life that you finally get filled up with love and your ego dissolves.
So just keep going.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
