The thing about the journey,
The dangerous part of the journey,
Is the failed spiritual journey,
People get bitter.
And that's what I just,
When I say failed,
It's like you can't really fail.
You can't really fail.
It's sort of like if you just,
In life,
If you just,
I'll tell you,
If you just get that,
You know,
Your life is already basically orchestrated,
And you're going to find out what your karma is,
And the more,
Most,
Most gracefully you can do it,
The better.
And don't have a lot of hopes for your life.
I'm not talking about being despairing,
Or despondent,
Or giving up,
But don't be attached to particular dreams.
If you,
I'll tell you what,
If you have a goal that,
At the end of your life,
That you have more heart development than when you started,
If you have that goal,
Then you won't become bitter.
Yeah,
We get bitter when we've got,
Like,
Basically idealists can get bitter,
And there's no bigger cynic than a disappointed idealist.
And,
You know,
The bitterness,
If we get in there,
If we say this should have happened,
I prayed for 30 years,
And I,
You know,
God didn't give me any results.
We can't,
Because you guys,
You have to realize that at 67,
I had breast cancer.
And then the next thing that happened was I got dumped out of my long-term rental property at a time when rents in Vancouver went up by 50%.
So,
And I had no money,
No,
No partner,
No,
Like,
If I had been looking at my life from the outside,
I could have been a very bitter woman.
But it was actually then just,
Just before I made a huge,
Huge step spiritually.
And I guess it was all part of reducing me down.
So the key is,
I didn't go bitter at that point,
Even though my life pretty much looked like a disaster.
I just don't want you guys to go bitter.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So just praying for heart development.
And all of our difficulties,
We're,
We're meant to have these particular difficulties.
Nothing's random.
Nobody's doing anything to us.
It's all our karma.
We're creating our karma,
Positive or negative,
By how we handle our present,
Which is the importance of staying present,
You guys.
Because it determines our future,
How we are in the present.
What kind of thoughts we're running?
