When we go to a movie or a play,
We agree to suspend disbelief,
At least for the length of the play or movie.
And sometimes as we're suspending our disbelief,
We actually are receiving bigger truth,
Bigger knowledge outside our everyday understanding,
Through the themes of good quality plays or movies,
You know,
Pointing out material that we might not fully comprehend in our everyday life.
So this video,
It might require some of you to suspend disbelief,
To just maybe do that and then think about the content.
It's about the weather and,
You know,
In some ways,
It's really clear that human beings are affecting our climate with things that we do,
But also,
You know,
Emotionally,
Perhaps we affect the climate.
You know,
Novelists will say it was a dark and stormy night before introducing some kind of threatening situation for the protagonist or heroes.
You know,
It sort of symbolizes,
Nature can symbolize the human experience.
So,
You know,
The concept of human beings' emotional state affecting nature isn't too far,
Really.
It isn't too far from actually what we already know.
But I want to give you an example of a delightful example someone wrote to me,
A dear woman who lives in Germany and the climate's dry and,
You know,
The cost of water is going up.
So her husband put out a big rain barrel and said,
Okay,
We need to have some rain.
So she promptly,
She's a long-term devotee of Mother Mira and she's been,
You know,
Associated with me as well for 15 years or so.
Anyway,
She lightheartedly did a rain dance and prayed to Mira and Amma,
To Mother Nature and asked for rain with a lightheartedness of a child,
But also a deep sincerity in her heart and a deep reverence for Mother Nature.
And indeed,
Within an hour or so,
It rained,
It poured and the barrel filled up.
Now,
Part of the reason I'm mentioning this is I have a much more mundane example of the same thing.
You know,
For about 10 years,
My younger son and his family of six girls lived in Vancouver and I would be invited over for high days and holidays and,
You know,
There were a lot of them.
And,
You know,
I would always pray for good weather and I'd say sort of Mother Nature,
You know,
If it doesn't,
If it's not too important,
Couldn't it be sunny for our time together?
Because I would often play outside with the girls,
You know,
Play tag and stuff and it would be too noisy in the house for us to do this.
So the outside was important.
And you know,
Sometimes I would wake up in the morning and the day would be rainy,
You know,
Vancouver is rainy.
And I swear to you,
Hand on the Bible,
Every single time,
Even the days when it was really rainy,
It would clear just before I was supposed to go over and the sun would come out and we would be able to play outside.
I kid you not.
Now,
It's not something that I've been focusing on,
The weather,
But in this case,
You know,
My desire was very heartfelt because at the time their house wasn't very big,
So,
You know,
We really needed the outside.
And every single time,
And there are a lot of days,
And there are quite a few rainy days that started off rainy,
And I swear the sun would come out.
So this work has a lot to this approach,
This compassionate approach,
And this way of the ancient knowledge of humanity,
Bringing it back up,
Because we've lost something maybe with our very linear approach into human beings.
You know,
Everything's made out of energy.
I've said this many times,
And,
You know,
May it just click,
Because when it clicks,
You will see more light.
And it's this,
That we're made out of energy.
This energy is unconditional love.
We just don't realize it's unconditional love because we're a bit alienated from our hearts.
But when we connect up with our hearts,
You know,
Mother Nature listens.
And I really,
Really know that if we just got very prayerful and humble before Mother Nature,
And open to learn to what she's wanting us to understand,
The climate would settle down.
Yeah.
And,
You know,
This may sound off the wall to some,
But,
You know,
The new breakthroughs in knowledge always sound off the wall just as they're coming in,
But then it just becomes a new normal.
And my feeling is this understanding that we affect the weather with our emotional states,
And we can affect it through our prayers.
We'll just become the new normal.
Okay.
Bless your hearts.
