Why Healing Frequencies Don’t Work Alone

In this video, I explain why healing frequencies alone are usually not enough. Numbers like 528 Hz, 417 Hz, or 639 Hz can be meaningful, but sound is not only about one frequency. The brain and nervous system respond to the full experience: the rhythm, texture, emotion, space, and atmosphere created by the music. This is why meditation music can feel much more natural than a single pure tone. Music gives the nervous system something softer to follow, helping the body slow down without effort. If you want to explore this more deeply, I also share a full course here on Insight Timer called 'The Power of Frequency'. If this video helped you discover something new, you can leave a small donation here on Insight Timer. Every contribution helps me continue creating educational content and soundscapes to support more people around the world. Giacomo Franzoso, Founder of Point of Attraction Sound.

Hello everyone and welcome back.

So in the previous video,

We talked about Sofeggio frequencies,

What they actually are and how they're used in meditation music today.

But now I want to talk about something that honestly,

I think it's even more important.

And that is why frequencies alone are usually not enough.

Because one thing I've noticed online is that a lot of people focus only on the number itself,

As I mentioned in the previous video.

528 hertz for example,

417 hertz,

639 and things like that.

Almost like the number alone is doing all the work,

But it doesn't.

Okay.

In reality,

The experience of the sound is much more complex than that.

And honestly,

Much more human too,

Because.

If you take a single frequency and listen to it completely by itself for a very long period of time,

Most people probably won't enjoy it very much.

It can feel like very repetitive.

Flat,

Right?

Sometimes even uncomfortable after a while.

And The reason is because the brain naturally responds better to movement,

Vibration,

Emotion.

Rhythm,

Harmony,

Space,

All these different elements working together,

Right?

And that's where music becomes really important.

Music gives the nervous system something more natural to follow.

That's just what it does.

And honestly,

This is one of the biggest reasons why ambient music,

Meditation music,

And calming soundscapes can feel so relaxing for people,

Right?

Because,

You know,

The brain is not only hearing one static sound,

Right?

But it's responding to an entire environment.

And the atmosphere,

The pacing,

The textures,

The emotional feeling inside the music,

All of that really matters.

And this is actually how I approach my own compositions too.

I.

.

.

I don't just place a frequency underneath random music and call it healing music.

Everything is designed to work together.

The frequencies,

The sound design,

The space between sounds,

The tempo,

The emotional tone,

Sometimes even viral beats layered underneath very softly because the goal is not to overwhelm the brain,

Right?

It's really the opposite actually.

The goal is The goal is to create an environment where the nervous system can slow down naturally without effort.

That's it.

And honestly.

I think that's something a lot of people are missing today in general.

You know,

Most people are constantly overstimulated and there's always noise,

Right?

There's always information,

Notifications,

Stress,

Movement,

All of that.

So when the brain suddenly enters a slower and calmer sound environment,

The body often responds very differently.

I mean,

Sometimes people feel calmer.

Sometimes more emotional,

Sometimes sleepy,

Sometimes happier,

And sometimes they just feel more present.

And the interesting thing is that the experience can change from day to day too,

Because Sound interacts with your current state.

So the same track might feel completely different depending on how stressed tired emotional or relaxed you already are okay and that's completely normal so don't worry about that.

And yeah,

When it comes to frequencies,

I really believe the music itself You know,

It really matters just as much as the frequency behind it.

Maybe even more sometimes because music is Music is what makes the experience feel human and emotionally connected instead of mechanical,

Right?

And In my opinion,

I think that's where the real power of sound starts to happen.

So thank you so much everyone for being here with me today and for spending a little bit of your time with me as always.

And I'll see you all in the next video.
