Begin by finding a position that feels comfortable.
You may be sitting or lying down.
Allow your hands to rest easily and when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Before changing anything,
Simply notice your breathing.
Notice the inhale.
Notice the exhale.
No need to make it deeper.
No need to slow it down.
Just notice.
For these next few moments.
You're not required to be anything for anybody.
You're not somebody's partner.
Parent.
Friend?
Colleague,
Carer.
Help.
You don't need to solve anything.
You don't need to keep anybody happy.
You don't even need to know what you want.
For these few moments.
You can simply be you.
Take a deep breath in.
And slowly let go.
And again.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
And once more?
In.
And out.
Bring your attention now to the centre of your body.
Notice the weight of your body being supported beneath you.
And feel the right side of your body.
And then,
The lift.
Notice where one side feels different from the other.
Maybe it's heavier.
Warmer,
More relaxed.
You don't need to change anything,
Just notice.
And imagine very gently.
That you're bringing yourself back towards your own centre.
This is the energy of Libra.
Not perfectly balanced.
Not trying to keep everything perfectly still,
Simply noticing when we have moved too far away from ourselves.
And returning.
I want you to quietly say to yourself,
I return to my centre.
And again.
I return to my centre.
Now allow a question to settle quietly within you.
Where am I on the scales of my own life?
There's no judgement here.
Simply notice.
And breathe.
Sometimes imbalance happens so gradually that we don't realise how far we've moved from ourselves.
So ask quietly.
Where have I forgotten to include myself?
And let the question settle.
Now think back over the years so far.
Not as a list of things you've achieved.
Instead notice who you have become.
What do you know now that you didn't know at the beginning of the year?
Do you understand yourself better?
Have you become clearer about?
What you will and won't accept.
Did something disappoint you?
But taught you something.
Perhaps you discovered strength you didn't know you had.
Perhaps you're becoming more comfortable with uncertainty.
Perhaps you simply kept going through something difficult.
Let whatever comes to mind be enough.
This is your harvest.
And not everything we harvest can be held in our hands.
Sometimes the harvest is wisdom.
Sometimes it's courage.
Sometimes it's knowing what we don't want anymore.
Take a breath in and as you breathe out,
Silently say.
.
.
I honour what the year has taught me.
I honour what the year has taught me.
Now bring your awareness to all the places where your energy may have become scattered.
Conversations you're replaying,
Things you wish you'd said differently,
Decisions you're worrying about,
People you're trying to please,
Situations you're trying to control.
You don't need to solve any of these now.
Instead,
Imagine simply withdrawing your attention from them,
Not forever,
Just for these few moments,
And say quietly,
I call my energy back to myself.
Take a slow breath in.
I call my energy back from what I cannot control and breathe out.
I call my energy back from other people's opinions.
I call my energy back from the past.
I call my energy back from worrying about the future.
I am here.
I am here.
Feel your body.
Feel your breath.
Feel the quiet presence of yourself.
And now we meet Ares.
Ares doesn't begin by asking what everybody else thinks.
It asks something much simpler.
What do I want?
And notice your immediate response.
Perhaps you feel uncomfortable even asking,
But that's okay.
So try another question.
What do I need more of?
What do I need less of?
And finally,
What would feel right for me now?
Your first response may be very simple.
Rest.
Connection.
Peace.
Space.
Joy.
Whatever appears,
Allow it to be there.
You don't need to do anything about it for now.
You're simply listening.
Notice whether there is something you want,
But immediately follow it with a butt.
I'd love to.
But.
.
.
I want to.
But.
.
.
And notice what comes after the bot.
It is genuinely impossible.
Or are you being?
Or are you waiting for permission?
Approval.
Certainty,
A guarantee that everything will work out.
Aries reminds us that we rarely receive certainty before we begin.
Sometimes the first step comes first.
Place a hand over your heart.
And feel the warmth of your hand and repeat,
I give myself permission to want what I want.
I give myself permission to change my mind.
I give myself permission to say no.
I give myself permission to say yes.
I give myself permission to choose what feels right for me.
Now bring to mind the feeling of disappointing someone.
Not a particular person necessarily,
Just the feeling.
For many of us,
That feeling can be uncomfortable.
You want everyone to understand.
You want everyone to approve.
We want everyone to think we've made the right decision.
But sometimes choosing ourselves means allowing somebody else to have an opinion about our choice.
Take a slow breath and silently repeat,
Other people are allowed their feelings.
I am allowed my choices.
Notice what happens in your body as you say that.
Perhaps something softens.
Perhaps something resists?
Both are okay.
Now think of one area in your life where you've been waiting.
Waiting to feel ready.
Waiting to feel confident.
Waiting until you know exactly how it will turn out.
Just something that feels alive for you now and ask,
What is the smallest step I could take?
Not the whole journey,
Not the final outcome,
Just one step.
Let the one small step come to mind.
And then see.
I don't need certainty to take one step.
I only need enough courage for this step.
Now allow everything to become quiet again.
No more questions.
No more searching.
Just breathe.
And from everything.
That has arisen.
During this meditation,
Allow one word to come to you.
One word you would like to carry with you through this full moon and into the next.
Season.
As you breathe in,
Silently say that word.
And as you breathe out,
Allow it to settle into your body.
Bring both hands together now or simply rest them gently over your heart.
And recognize something important.
You don't need to become a different person beneath this full moon.
Perhaps the invitation is simply to come back to the person who was there all along.
You.
Take one final slow breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Silently say.
.
.
I honour what I have learned.
I return to my center.
I include myself in the life I am creating.
I trust my voice.
I don't need certainty before I begin.
