Welcome to this short meditation,
Looking out at the clouds over the ocean,
The birds flying above,
The sand under the foot.
Sit,
And know that you're sitting,
Find a comfortable position,
Take a few deep breaths,
I like to breathe in with the belly and then the chest and then exhale with the side.
Here you can hear the sounds of the ocean,
The different waves as they move,
There seems to be a louder roar to the left,
I'm not actually sure why,
Maybe the waves are bigger down there.
People walking by,
Starting their mornings,
Wherever you are,
Let the sounds wash away,
Maybe you just woke up recently,
Just sit for a moment and let your brain settle like a wave after it's crashed,
Smoothing out,
It's going to go back out into the ocean,
Take on the day.
Let's take another deep breath and pull the energy of the earth up through our bodies,
Just imagine that as you take a deep breath in,
Letting go of any crunchy thoughts or junky bits from the day before,
Good morning,
Your dreams,
Letting them drift away,
Find something in your space or your day to ground yourself,
Something exciting or fun or solid,
Maybe it's just breakfast,
Maybe it's something you get to do later,
Maybe it's a bird flying by,
Just imagining how they feel,
Now imagine standing up and running on a beach,
Whether you can run or not,
Just run in your mind,
Into the fog,
Back out into the sunshine,
And now rest for a moment,
Another breath,
