Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
Before we begin today,
There's nothing you need to do.
You don't need to follow me closely.
You can let my voice drift in and out.
And you don't have to try to relax.
Just allowing yourself to be here is enough.
You might take a moment and let yourself get a little bit more comfortable,
If your body wants that.
If not,
That's okay too.
However you are arriving is already okay.
You might begin to notice the surface beneath you.
Not in detail,
Just the sense of being supported.
Something is holding your weight so you don't have to.
And if there are places in your body still holding effort,
There's no need to change anything.
Sometimes rest begins,
Not by relaxing,
But by realizing you don't need to try anymore.
Just let your breath do whatever it's already doing.
There's nothing to fix.
You might notice even just one place in your body that feels neutral,
Not tense,
Not relaxed,
Just okay.
And if you find that place,
You can gently rest your attention there.
No effort,
Nothing to do with it,
Just being.
And if your mind wanders,
That's okay too.
Your body doesn't need silence to rest.
It just needs a little space and a sense of safety.
Even just softening 1% is enough.
Or simply not tightening any further,
That counts too.
Your body knows how to settle in its own time.
You don't need to guide it.
If a deeper breath comes,
Or a small shift,
Just let that happen.
These are signs your body is listening to itself.
And if nothing changes,
That's okay too.
Rest can be very quiet.
Nothing is required of you.
No where else you need to be.
I'm here with you.
And as we begin to close,
There's nothing you need to gather or take with you.
If your body wants to keep resting,
You can let it.
Thank you for giving yourself this moment.
