The first time I had a panic attack, I was alone and terrified. I've created this short SOS meditation to help you feel supported, safe and - most importantly - that you are not alone. Please save it for when you need it. As you listen, clasp your hands together and imagine I'm with you, holding your hand and helping you to breathe and calm your response. You are safe and you are loved.

I want you to know that I've been where you are right now.

I felt those same terrifying feelings and I'm here to reassure you that you are not alone.

I am here with you and you are safe and we are going to get through this together.

So please clasp your hands together and I want you to really focus on the feeling of your two palms against each other and I want you to imagine that I am here with you right now holding your hand and together we are going to ease these terrifying feelings and call your spirit back from flight and ground it back into your body so that you can breathe easily and with peace and we're going to start by breathing together and counting as we breathe in to a count of five hold for a count of five and out for a count of five so keep focusing on that feeling of your two palms together for I am here with you holding your hand and let us begin breathing in two three four five hold two three four five out two three four five in two three four five hold two three four five out two three four five in two three four five hold two three four five out two three four five keep breathing keep counting and as you do I want you to feel the energy of relaxation flowing from the tip of your head and all the way down through your body as you continue to breathe and count and remember I am here with you and you are safe breathing in two three four five hold two three four five out two three four five as you continue to breathe I'm going to drum and I'd like you to listen and put all of your attention onto these drum beats and feel them soothing and calming your body and your mind and your nervous system into a state of peace and the knowledge you are safe you continue to breathe and count until you feel that the moment of panic has passed and if these feelings come back sit down place your palms together focus on that feeling and know that you are not alone I am here with you and you are safe and you can return to this meditation anytime you need support you are loved and you are safe you
