From orbit, the Earth looks like a single breath — borders fade, and compassion expands. This sleep story guides you into that vast, cosmic perspective known as the “overview effect.” You’ll journey through awe and gratitude, then gently descend into rest, as if the whole planet is holding you to sleep. Expect soulful guitar tones and spacious pauses, crafted to mirror the rhythm of breath in space. A unique meditation that blends Dharma, wonder, and sleep — perfect for anyone who needs perspective before drifting off.

Hi,

I'm glad you're here.

Tonight we drift together.

Set the foam face down.

Let the room be what an island.

Close your eyes.

Unclench the jaw.

Let the tongue rest on the roof of the mouth.

If you're lying down,

Let your weight spread into the bed.

No holding.

No guarding.

Hands soft.

Belly easy.

Throat open.

Breathe with me.

In through the nose for a slow 4.

Hold for a gentle 2.

Exhale like a long goodbye for 6.

Again,

Quiet 4 in.

And 6 out.

Let the breath settle into its own rhythm now.

Nothing to fix.

Imagine this bed is your capsule.

The room dims behind your eyelids.

And we begin to rise.

Rooftops become patterns.

Rivers turn to silver threads.

Clouds gather like slow oceans.

And then silence.

The earth curves beneath you.

A blue lantern in the dark.

At the rim of the world.

A thin line of electric blue.

The breath.

City lights bloom like constellations.

Storms swirl in soft spirals.

Somewhere,

The aurora hangs like a green prayer.

Inhale as if the whole earth were filling your chest.

Up here,

The lines we argue about disappear.

What remains is one home.

One ocean of breath shared by billions.

Gratitude arrives without effort.

For air.

For water.

For the chance to be alive right now.

Dear but like gravity.

Quiet.

Constant.

Everywhere.

If thoughts try to pull you into tomorrow,

Let them pass beneath you like weather.

If old regrets rise,

Watch them shrink with distance.

Seen.

Nothing to solve at this altitude.

Just breath and the blue.

Stay with the feeling of being part of a single living body.

Now we begin our return.

Through veils of cloud,

Past the silver of rivers,

Toward the dark,

Kind weight of home.

You carry the sky-sized breath with you.

It does not stay in orbit.

It settles in your ribs.

Simple and steady.

Feel the mattress meet you like shoreline.

Your breath and the planet's breath move together,

Tides within tides.

You are a drop that belongs to the ocean.

A leaf that belongs to the forest.

A heartbeat that belongs to the human family.

Nothing is missing.

Nothing is demanded.

Let the world hold you tonight.

Let the earth sing you to sleep soft.

Endless.

Kind.

Rest in the wide compassion you touched.

Rest in the gratitude buzzing like stars.

Rest in the breath that includes us all.
