
Calming Nervous System Reset In Nature
When the body is holding tension and the mind won’t quite settle, the most powerful thing you can do is gently let go. In this 28-minute guided meditation, you’ll begin with breath awareness and a full body check-in, allowing your nervous system to soften and settle. From there, you’ll be guided into a peaceful forest sanctuary, surrounded by birdsong, a babbling brook, and calming nature sounds, where you can release what no longer serves you. This practice is designed for both daytime reset and evening wind-down. Whether you’re carrying emotional weight, stress from the day, or simply need space to exhale, this meditation offers a grounded path back to ease. Come as you are. Rest deeply. Thank you for being here dear soul it is an honor to share this time and space with you.
This meditation is going to guide you along the path of letting go,
Letting go of what no longer serves you,
Letting go of what troubles you,
Letting go of what burdens you,
Letting go of any thoughts,
Emotions or attachments without judging or clinging to them.
So finding yourself now in a comfortable position you can be sitting up in your favorite chair or lying down,
Gently close your eyes and quietly where you won't be disturbed take a nice deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with air,
Becoming aware of the air travelling in through your nose and being expelled through your mouth.
In this quiet moment of reflection in your mind's eye picture your lungs expanding with life-giving oxygen,
With every breath you take through your nose and expelling it through your open mouth.
Become aware of the temperature of the air flowing in through your nostrils,
Be aware of the cool air travelling in and up through your nose and into your lungs,
Become aware of the warm air being expelled through your open mouth and just slowly and gently begin to rest into this beautiful generous present moment and with every breath that you now take with a closed mouth in through your nose and out through your nose I want you to relax even deeper still,
Filling your lungs with life-giving oxygen once more and on the exhale relax even deeper still into this generous present moment,
Placing your attention now on the tips of your toes,
I want you to move your awareness to the tops of your feet,
Moving the awareness now up your shins and into your knees,
Becoming aware of your thighs as you move your attention up the front of your legs,
Into your hip bones and up into your pelvis,
Becoming aware of your lower abdomen,
The middle of your abdomen,
Moving your attention now into your chest where you again become aware of your lungs being filled with life-giving oxygen and take a nice deep breath in again for me and relaxing even deeper still,
Moving your attention up into your collarbones and your shoulders,
Up into your neck and your throat,
Becoming aware of your smile as it gently creeps across your face,
Your cheeks and your nose,
Your eyes and your eyebrows,
Placing your attention on your ears and your temples,
The top of your head,
As you move your attention slowly down the back of your head,
Into your neck and down your shoulder blades,
In your mind's eye imagine your attention trickling down the back of your spine,
Down into your lower back,
Your hips and your buttocks,
Moving your attention down the back of your thighs,
Allow it to tickle the back of your knees,
As you now become aware of your calf muscles,
Your calves,
Your heels,
The soles of your feet and the tip of every single little toe,
As you now take another nice deep breath for me,
Out through your mouth,
And relaxing even deeper still,
Now with your body,
In tune with your breath,
Your mind in touch with your body,
In your mind's eye I want you to imagine,
Imagine standing in the most beautiful field of wild flowers,
For as long and as far as your eyes can see,
The flowers stretch beyond your imagination,
With your arms at your side standing in this field,
You can feel the flowers tickling the tips of your fingertips,
As you become aware of the vibrant colours that exist in this field,
You begin walking,
The flowers just ever so slightly tickling the tips of your fingers,
Looking down your bare foot,
The ground is cool and soft and inviting,
As it's covered in a beautiful vibrant green moss,
And you are safe,
As you begin to explore this beautiful new world,
Taking meaningful steps one at a time,
Feeling the flowers,
Experiencing the vibrancy of their colours,
As you look up into the bright blue sky,
With white fluffy clouds floating by effortlessly,
And as you walk through this field,
You come upon a little babbling brook,
Of cool crystal clear water,
The brook is shallow enough for you to walk through it,
And you take your first step moving from the cool soft moss,
Into the refreshing feeling of the water rushing by your feet,
As you feel each pebble gently and smoothly caressing the bottom of your feet,
Walking through the babbling brook to the other side,
You feel calm,
You are safe,
You are safe,
Continuing over through the brook,
And walking through the field on the other side,
In your mind's eye now,
Imagine you come upon the edge of a pine forest,
You take a nice deep breath,
You can smell the freshness of the pine needles,
You can hear the birds singing in the trees,
You can see the sun cascading through the leaves and the tree trunks,
Creating gorgeous pockets of warm golden sunlight,
It is safe to walk through this forest as you enter,
You are divinely loved and protected,
And walking through this forest,
You can feel the soft pine needles on the bottom of your feet,
You run your hands down the bark of these ancient trees,
You feel the warmth of the golden glow of the sun,
And walking through the forest now,
You notice in the distance,
In your mind's eye,
What looks like a beautiful marble structure,
You are drawn to this magnificence,
Glowing white and bright in the distance,
You feel safe,
You feel curious,
As you approach the structure of white golden marble,
You become aware that waiting for you is the most beautiful angel you have ever seen,
Loving,
Protective and larger than life,
Your angel has been waiting for you,
Your angel is there to help you,
Standing before the angel now,
Gently place your hands over your beautiful heart,
And ask your angel to take from you,
What no longer serves you,
In your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine opening up a box that is filled with memories,
Experiences,
Thoughts,
Emotions or attachments that no longer serve you,
And you are safe to do so,
For your angel divinely loves and protects you,
In this safe space,
The content of this box no longer has power over you,
In fact in comparison to the size of your magnificent angel,
The things in your box are tiny in comparison,
One by one,
I want you to begin handing those over to your angel,
Nothing is too big,
No burden is too large to carry,
Your angel graciously accepts and welcomes an opportunity to relieve you,
To unburden you and to set you free,
Dig deep into your box,
As you hand over one thing at a time,
There is no burden too great,
There is no trouble too big,
One by one by one,
Begin to set yourself free,
Feel the weight lifting off your shoulders,
Off your soul,
Off your body,
Feel yourself become lighter and lighter,
As you move and hand over one thing at a time,
And continue to do this until there are no more things left in this box,
And with everything you hand over you become lighter of being,
Your energy shifts,
Gosh are your feet still touching the ground,
You are so light now,
And when there is nothing left in the box,
I want you to look up at your angel,
Your angel is looking down at you with the most loving,
Caring,
Kind eyes,
Your angel extends its arms and wraps them tight around you,
A reminder that you are divinely loved,
You are divinely protected,
You are divinely guided,
Stay in that embrace for as long as you like,
You feel freer and lighter of being,
Giving your body an opportunity to feel love and gratitude and joy for this magnificent life that you have and that you are creating,
And when you are ready,
You may bid farewell to your angel for now,
For it will be here for you always and forever,
And you may visit it as many times as you like,
It is always with you,
Its energy and presence felt through you and in you and all around you,
Leaving the empty box now where it stands,
You begin to make your way out of the forest,
Becoming aware again of the birds singing in the trees,
The soft pine needles under your feet,
The smell of the fresh pine and the feeling of the warm golden sunlight touching your body,
As you make your way through and to the edge of the forest again,
Coming out into the beautiful bright sunlight,
The blue sky and the white fluffy clouds,
And the gorgeous field of wild flowers as far as your eye can see into infinity,
You feel them now tickling the tips of your fingers with your hands by your side as you caress the flowers as you walk through the field,
Feeling the cool mask beneath your feet once more,
And as you reach the babbling brook,
The water looks clearer,
Bluer,
The pebbles are softer,
And you feel them beneath your feet as you make your way across the babbling brook and onto the other side,
Where this meditation began,
Breathing,
Taking a nice deep breath,
And exhaling through the mouth,
Very gently and slowly,
Intentionally,
Bring your attention back to your body,
Feel where your body meets the surface that you are sitting on or lying on,
Feel the places where your body meets that surface,
Feel the pressure created by the surface,
As you take another deep breath in now,
And out through your mouth,
And out through your mouth,
Become aware with your eyes still closed,
Of your surroundings,
The room that you're in,
Become aware of noises you hear inside of the room,
Become aware of sounds you hear outside of the room,
And as you come back into your body now and into this sweet generous present moment,
You've carried a sense of lightness,
A sense of freedom,
A sense of peace with you from that forest,
And you can take that into your day now,
Or your evening,
And return to the forest whenever you need to,
And in your own time,
When you are ready,
You can slowly begin to wiggle your toes,
And take your thumb and rub them over the fingertips of each hand,
And coming back into your body now in this present moment in time and space,
One last big deep breath in and out through your mouth,
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
