Take a moment to get comfortable.
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath and hold it for just a moment.
Exhale.
Let all the air out.
Take one more deep breath.
And exhale.
Let your breathing return back to its normal pace.
See if you can focus on the small gaps between your inhale and exhale.
It is possible that your mind will wander and that's perfectly okay.
Each time it wanders,
Gently bring your attention back to your breathing.
And bring it back to your breathing.
And bring it back to your breathing.
This is how it feels to breathe.
This is how it feels to be alive.
Let us give thanks to the small miracles of life.
As you feel the air into your lungs and fill your belly,
And slowly leave your body.
For this moment,
There is nothing for you to do.
Just breathe.
