Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And let it float through your mouth.

Gentle trip through your whole body,
Like a warm,
Cozy wave moving from your head all the way down to your toes.
As we visit each place,
Just let it soften.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to change.
Bring your attention to your forehead.
Let it smooth out.
Soften your eyes.
Let your cheeks be loose and easy.
Unclench your jaw.
And let your tongue rest softly.
Your face is calm and cozy.
Now bring your attention to your shoulders.
Let them melt down like warm butter.
Feel the softness move into your arms,
Upper arms,
Hands and fingers.
Let them all be heavy and still.
Now notice your chest.
Feel it gently rise and gently fall.
Let your belly get soft and round.
No holding.
No tightening.
Just soft.
Your breathing is slow and easy.
Now bring your attention to your legs and let your thighs relax.
Your knees soften.
Your calves melting down.
And finally,
Your feet and toes.
Let them be completely still.
Now feel your whole body resting together from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.
Heavy and cozy.
Take one slow,
Gentle breath in and a long,
Soft breath out.
And if your body feels sleepy,
You can drift right into rest.
Your body knows how to relax and you did such a beautiful job.
