Hello there,

Little one,

And welcome to today's special meditation with Mindful Mini.

I'm so happy you're here.

Today we're going to try something called butterfly hugs.

It's a fun and gentle way to feel calm and happy inside,

Just like a butterfly floating peacefully through the sky.

Are you ready to join me?

Find a comfy,

Cozy spot to sit or stand,

And let's go ahead and get started.

Begin by imagining we're turning into beautiful butterflies.

Can you stretch your arms out really,

Really wide,

Like butterfly wings?

So big and strong.

Now cross your arms over your chest,

Just like you're giving yourself a cozy hug.

Your hands can rest on your shoulders,

Or anywhere that feels comfy.

You're doing so good.

Now that you're a butterfly,

Let's begin to flutter.

Make your wings move.

Tap one hand gently on your shoulder,

And then the other.

Tap,

Tap,

Tap.

Back and forth,

Nice and easy,

Like your butterfly wings are flapping in the breeze.

While you tap,

Let's take a big,

Deep breath in,

And draw the air in through your nose.

Good,

And now blow it out,

Just like the wind helping our butterfly fly.

Let's do that again.

Take a great,

Big breath.

There you go.

And now blow it out.

As you keep tapping your wings,

Imagine flying through a beautiful garden.

You see colorful flowers all around you,

Red,

Yellow,

Blue,

And purple.

Can you picture them in your mind?

Keep tapping and flying as you take another deep breath in,

And slowly let it out.

Now imagine your butterfly wings feel soft and light.

They know just how to help you feel calm and safe.

Take one more big breath in,

And let it out,

Like a gentle breeze.

When you feel ready,

Let your butterfly wings rest.

You gave yourself a special butterfly hug,

And now you're calm and happy,

Just like a butterfly after a peaceful flight.

You did such a great job today.

Remember anytime you feel upset,

Or need a little moment to feel calm,

You can always try butterfly hugs again.
