Coming to lie on your mat or on a carpet,

Making sure that you are warm enough for the duration of this exercise,

Perhaps covering yourself with a blanket or bolstering the space around you with a couple of cushions and pillows,

Creating a safe space for you to feel held and safe inside.

Lying down,

Starting to allow the eyes to gently close,

Allowing the arms to drop out alongside the body and the feet naturally dropping out in a relaxed position away from each other.

Beginning to bring your attention first to your breath,

Noticing the rise and the fall of the tummy as you inhale and exhale.

Feel this breath moving through your body as you inhale in through the nose,

Drawing this breath down through the centre of the body and into the tummy.

Exhale releasing,

Contracting the tummy in.

Continuing to soften the breath as you inhale and exhale releasing,

Feeling your shoulders and your muscles relaxing towards the floor,

The ground beneath you.

Inhaling into the tummy as you exhale releasing the muscles,

Your bones,

Sinking heavy onto the ground.

A couple more times,

Inhale,

Exhale releasing the holding of the body.

Two more,

Inhaling,

Softening into the tummy,

Exhaling releasing in the body.

Exhale softening through the body,

Releasing onto the ground beneath you.

Maybe keeping this deep tummy breathing with us if we can for the duration of this exercise.

Feel as your body begins to completely surrender to the earth beneath you,

Softening in its holding and it's holding upright.

Feel as the legs gently release,

Muscles relaxing.

Feel as the head grows heavy on the floor,

Helping the neck,

The shoulders to release to let go too of their holding.

Feeling your awareness across the back of your upper body,

The sides of your back,

Middle body and then down into the lower body,

Hips and pelvic floor.

Allow all these parts to sink down heavy into the ground,

Legs releasing,

Dropping further out to the sides,

Feet growing heavy.

Feeling as though you're sinking down into the earth,

Into the ground,

Maybe feeling the soil of the earth beneath you.

Feeling as it comes up to meet you,

To support you and to hold you here.

You are safe here,

Held by the earth and then dropping deeper,

Dropping a layer heavier.

Allow yourself to sink down,

Down through the top soil,

Through the first layer of earth,

Reaching,

Merging with her body as you sink heavy down,

Cooned and safe as her part of the earth,

And then allowing yourself to sink further even deeper through the tectonic plates,

Maybe down into her warm,

Her hot core,

Her lachma core,

Feeling as you move through it,

Part of it,

Fluid,

Moving,

Then reaching down into her very center.

Feel as you are held here,

Safe in the room of the earth.

Darkness,

Safety,

Warmth surrounding,

Holding you.

Quite safe room space.

And slowly,

Slowly,

Slowly,

Slowly,

Slowly.

And slowly start to feel yourself,

Feeling yourself expanding into a fetus,

Growing into your own limbs,

Lengthening and stretching outwards,

Allowing yourself to come head first back through the layers of the earth,

Slowly head first starting to push your way through the layers,

Surfacing through the layers,

Opening the earth,

As you finally make your way back,

Coming to lie on the earth,

Newborn again,

Feeling this earthly body of yours,

This human body of yours,

Feeling that you are still a part of her,

That she is still a part of you,

Being that separate,

Feeling this connection,

This innate,

Unphysical cord that you still hold with her,

And gently releasing the unbiblical cord,

Feeling this cord,

Slowly coming back into this baby-like,

This childlike body.

Starting to feel and explore,

Perhaps your own skin at first,

Touching and feeling the body,

Your body,

And noticing how this thing is yours,

And then expanding outwards,

And reaching and stretching,

Coming back into the world,

And seeing the world,

Remembering and keeping close with you,

Keeping close to you,

This time in the womb,

Beginning to reach out,

To explore,

Becoming parts of the world,

Stretching,

Returning,

And taking joy in this physical being.

And when you feel ready,

Rolling over up to one side,

Holding yourself here for as long as you need,

And when you feel ready,

Slowly making your way back up to seated,

Sitting with yourself,

With your body,

Eyes closed.
