Let's bring our deepest practice to moments of conflict. It's wonderful to get mindful on the meditation cushions or the yoga mat. Then we get up and walk into the kitchen or the living room where the people are, and LOSE IT. That's sad and frustrating.
This group has two purposes.
1. I teach calm conflict tools. I'll share techniques here, including emotion regulation tools that you can use to practice calmness during the most difficult moments with the people who are most important to you. Techniques are inspired by Buddhist thought, mindfulness and occasionally by Jewish Mysticism (Hasidut). I also integrate the occasional song, with thoughts about the lyrics, because singing inspires me.
2. Let's talk! Are you trying to be calm and clear during conflict? How's it going for you? What helps? What is super challenging? Let's attend to this together and support each other in bringing equanimity to where we really need it.
