28 Day Meditation Challenge

This group is for thoughts, questions or support for the people who have committed to the Meditation Challenge. This challenge begins with a very basic introduction to meditation and moves into more advanced meditations. Welcome to your meditation journey! I am so pleased to have you join me — I have learned that meditation is the gateway to so much magic of peace, calmness and love — infinite possibilities just waiting for us all. Meditation helps foster mindfulness which is helpful to mental health, physical health and intuition. Mindfulness is an experience of being in the present moment, which can shift the body out of stress, fight or flight, reduce experiences of anxiety and tensions, and allow for healing. Especially when we access the power of breathing, we can access a deeper path to manifestation of intention and help us become more and more intuitive and aligned in our lives. There is increasing evidence that suggests we MUST learn to learn how to live in the moment to create wellness in mind, body and soul. When we are ruminating on the past or anxious about the future, when we experience life as chronic stress or suffer constrained energy, we aren’t able to be aware, intentional, or transformative. On the other hand, when we become mindful and learn tools for physical relaxation, connection, expansion and intuition, we can access all of the incredible power within to know ourselves and know our own necessary answers. Meditation for mindfulness and present awareness is a key piece of the work we will do together. The pillars of this method are: 1. Relaxation to focus — body 2. Stillness for Awareness — body-mind connect 3. Expansion for healing — soul 4. Intuition for alignment — mind-body-soul connect Any journey can be transformative and this one is no different: expect shifts for yourself along the way. This journey is designed to walk through a very specific, ordered set of steps to help your mind, body and, ultimately, soul, integrate. Some of you may already have experience with guided meditation; great, you will find similarities in the language I am sure. You may be called to be open to new or different language as we journey together. This method is designed to appeal to anyone at any level of meditation experience. We’ll start with basic practice, and then walk up to a 40-minute guided meditation over the time together (available to you at your discretion). It is no small thing to meditate for 28 days. Resistance to sitting down to do a meditation session is VERY common and will happen to all of us at some point. Simple actions are not always easy actions, but there is much to be gained by staying the course.
