Allow me to be with you in your suffering.
So close your eyes.
Find comfort.
Inhale and exhale.
And as you breathe,
Let me say that I am here.
That I care.
That you matter to me.
And that I am so sorry you are suffering.
Let me just be with you here in this moment.
I don't have a solution,
But I am with you in this moment.
I'm here to let you know that you are loved just the way you are.
It may be difficult to feel that love,
But you are deserving of love,
Of compassion.
So let me hold you in a tender embrace of support.
Soften the edges.
Feel that I am here with you no matter what.
There's nothing that you could say,
Nothing you could do,
No way for you to behave,
Nothing that can disappoint,
Diminish,
Or do anything.
And keep me from expressing my profound love.
My wholehearted compassion.
My undying belief that you have great value.
And I am so honored to be with you in this moment.
Just breathing together is enough.
Knowing that I am here.
Wanting to hold your heart with tenderness.
Allow whatever emotions you have to just simply be in whatever form they are.
Know that you can just be yourself.
And feel the way you're feeling.

Compassion,
