Hello,
And welcome to today's meditation.
Let's start by getting into a comfortable position.
You may either sit in a comfortable chair on your mat,
Or lay down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
I invite you to close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
And let's start with some breaths.
Start with just being conscious of our breathing.
Notice your inhales,
And notice your exhales.
Notice how your stomach expands as you take that deep inhale in.
And notice how that stale air comes out as you exhale.
You can imagine that when you inhale in,
You inhale your positive change.
And when you exhale,
Exhaling out what no longer serves you.
Let's take a moment to concentrate and pay attention to your breath.
Your breath is your lifeline.
If you notice that your mind starts wandering,
Always come back to that breath.
Notice what the concentration of the breath does to ease your mind,
To replace those unwanted thoughts.
Your breath is always there for you to help,
To ease,
To calm.
Just notice the breath.
As we get ready to go on our adventure,
Always know that your breath is there with you.
If you find you just need to take a moment,
That's just fine.
Take that moment to just breathe.
Today we're going to go for a walk on that pebbly beach.
Sometimes you go for a walk on that beach and you look for specific rocks.
You may look for agates,
Moonstones,
Or even just something unusual that has washed up onto the shore.
And today you were just noticing the beauty of the beach,
Of the water,
The horizon.
The water is always comforting.
It has the answers hidden within it.
You just need to know the right questions to ask and the right way to look.
Up ahead you see something unusual.
It looks like a rock,
But you're not quite sure.
As you approach it,
You notice it's a perfect rock for skipping stones.
You pick it up and examine it.
It feels pretty warm for a rock that's been sitting on the beach.
You just cup it in your hand and you feel the energy.
You feel it coursing through your body and it's very comforting,
This rock.
You just hold it for a moment and as you open up your hands,
You notice there's a message.
A message that's meant just for you.
You read it.
What is the rock telling you?
You pause for a moment and you think about skipping this rock,
But it's too special right now so you slip it into your pocket because you want to look at it again later.
As you continue your walk on this pebbly beach,
You encounter another rock.
This one's also perfect for skipping.
You look at it.
It's smooth,
Kind of a dark gray.
It's just begging you to skip it into the ocean.
And so you do.
It's like,
Wow,
How many times did that rock skip?
That's the best you've ever done.
You're pretty excited about that.
And you see another one.
Then you pick it up,
Examine it because,
You know,
There might be a message on that one,
Too.
But you know this one's just for skipping as well.
And so you do it.
And this one goes even farther than the last one.
You're amazed.
It's like,
Wow,
I've got a pretty good skill with this.
You walk a little bit farther and another rock catches your eye.
It's very unusual.
It's like one you've never seen before.
The color is very unusual and quite beautiful.
You pick it up and you hold it.
Again,
It's quite warm and you feel such an unusual positive energy from it.
And as you look down,
This one also has a message.
You read it and you take in what this message is.
And you slip this rock into your pocket,
Too.
You've got these two very,
Very special rocks with very special messages just for you.
And you take another look at the water,
At the horizon.
Oh,
And you feel that warm energy coursing through your body.
You know,
You know good things are waiting for you as soon as you get back.
You're excited.
You're ready to get started.
You've got a plan.
As you start to walk back,
You start thinking about how you're going to,
How you're going to take care of these messages.
What's your plan?
What are your goals?
You're so excited.
As you come to the end of the beach,
You can hear the waves wishing you well.
The waves know you've got this.
And it feels good.
And you come back and you notice your breath is wonderful.
You're taking such deep breaths and you're feeling such positive energy as you breathe in.
And this time as you exhale,
You notice you're exhaling out energy towards others.
You want to share.
You can't keep this to yourself.
You want to share this great energy.
Just take a moment and revel in this energy.
This energy from your breath.
Wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Stretch your shoulders.
Stretch your arms.
Move your body.
And prepare yourself for this next adventure.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and come back into the room.
