Good morning.
And welcome to your morning freshness meditation.
I am Maria and I'll be your guide.
Today,
It's a new beginning.
As you are perhaps not fully awake or in the process of awakening into this new day,
You can start by finding a comfortable position.
A position that is not so comfortable that you may fall back asleep and not so uncomfortable that it gets in the way of your concentration during this meditation.
And you can start by acknowledging your posture and how your body feels sitting or lying down.
Then you can notice your breath as you breathe in and out.
And take this time just for you to start fresh.
A new day of possibilities in the freshness of the morning.
Each morning is an opportunity for a new beginning.
When we wake up,
Before engaging with our thoughts and our tasks for the day,
We have the opportunity to start anew.
You have woken up.
Maybe your eyes are still adjusting to the morning light.
Or perhaps there is no natural light yet.
Maybe it's quiet around you.
Or maybe you have already started something about your day.
You can take this chance,
As your mind and body are awakening,
To start your day with an open and expansive attitude.
Open to the many possibilities that this day can bring.
And maybe you already know that your day can be busy.
That you have many things to do and to think about.
Perhaps some of these things will be challenging.
I invite you to try not to judge or anticipate the outcome of certain tasks or activities.
But to trust that your day will unfold in the best way possible.
And you can maybe visualize your day.
And all the tasks,
All the things you need to do.
Try to do it without judgment.
Without putting unnecessary weight on each thing.
And imagine all these things being done one by one,
Smoothly,
With ease.
And being completed.
When you are doing these things.
You can focus on one thing at a time.
Without brushing.
Not thinking about what you have done before.
Nor being anxious about what comes next.
Just dedicating your complete presence.
To each of the things that you are doing.
Individually.
And as you are imagining all the things that you will do today.
Visualize yourself arriving at the end of the day.
With a sense of accomplishment.
And tranquility.
And trust that you'll be able to carry on with your day with ease.
There are so many aspects of our days and the things that happen to us that are outside of our control.
And seeking to control them will only bring frustration and anxiety.
You can ask yourself,
Is there something about this thing that I need to do that is outside of my control?
And if there is indeed something.
Try to let go of it.
And accept that some things are simply outside of our reach.
Perhaps you can even set an intention for your day.
If you have to face something difficult,
Maybe you can breathe deeply and say to yourself that you will be able to do it.
That you will go through the day and that things will unfold in however way they need to unfold.
And is there something that you want to bring to your day?
A feeling,
A thought,
A phrase,
An idea.
You can focus on the intention you want to set for your day.
And take some deep breaths with it.
The way we start our day and the thoughts that we allow to enter our consciousness in the first moments of the morning can have a big impact on how our day will go.
So,
In spite of whatever challenges we face,
We can choose to have an attitude of openness and compassion towards ourselves and our day.
If you set any intention for today,
Try to carry it throughout the day.
And if you remember.
Take deep breaths every now and then to remind you of the intention you set for going through this day.
May you have a great day.
