Sending love.
Something that we've heard a lot of lately.
We've probably said it ourselves,
Read it online,
Read it in our texts,
And this practice is to hold space just for that.
We're sending love.
So go ahead and find a comfortable seat,
And before settling into stillness,
Find some movement.
Maybe roll your head from side to side.
Roll your wrists out.
Massage your temples.
Massage your shoulders.
Shake it all out if you want to.
And then be still.
Start to turn your attention to your breath.
Deepen your inhales.
Deepen your exhales.
Be with yourself for a moment.
I invite you to picture yourself.
Picture your favorite self.
That could be you,
How you are just right now.
Maybe it was you yesterday,
Or you as a little kid.
Envision yourself surrounded by a bright light,
Surrounded by this glowing light,
Surrounded by love.
This light,
And this love that's all around you just keeps growing,
And growing,
And growing.
And it gets brighter,
And brighter,
And brighter.
And it gets so bright that all you can see is the light and the love that's surrounding you.
Now envision somebody else that's in need of some love.
This can be somebody that you know,
Maybe a friend,
A neighbor,
Someone in your family,
A neighborhood,
A community,
A place in the world.
Someone else that's also deserving of love.
And imagine that the light and the love that surround you has grown so abundant,
So bright,
So overflowing,
That it reaches this person,
This community.
And now you can see the light and the love surrounds them,
It wraps them up,
It holds them.
And now you and them are all surrounded by the same love,
The same light.
The love grows stronger,
And we are all held.
So just sit in this space for a moment longer,
Sharing in the same love.
And when you're ready,
Move on from this space,
Yet take a part of it with you.
