After a busy day snuggle up with a pillow, a blanket and your favorite stuffy. Let me guide you into the magical forest. Breathe calmly and you may just see a unicorn appear. This meditation will help you relax, unwind and get ready for quiet time or sleep.

Transcript

It is time now to find a space to sit or lay down.

Make sure that you are comfortable.

Sometimes it helps to squeeze your muscles really tight and then relax them.

Go ahead now and squeeze your eyes tightly closed.

Squeeze your hands.

Curl your toes.

Squeeze and relax.

Take a big breath in through your nose.

And out through your mouth.

Now let's imagine that we are inside of a magical forest.

In this forest there are tall,

Crooked trees,

Beautiful flowers and sunshine all around us.

You can feel the heat from the sunshine warming your skin.

The wind blows and you can hear the leaves rustling in the trees.

Take a moment here to enjoy the forest.

Take another big breath in and out.

The breeze is blowing the green grass gently.

While you are walking around the forest you can hear the birds singing and you can feel the soft,

Mossy ground underneath your toes.

You walk a while and eventually you come to a stream.

You sit up on a rock that is sitting in the sun.

It feels warm through your clothing.

The water in the stream swirls and bubbles.

It feels peaceful here.

You are starting to feel so relaxed.

You look towards the water and a unicorn appears.

What color is the unicorn?

What color is her hair,

Horn and hooves?

What does she look like?

Her mane is long and flows down her back and sparkles in the sunlight.

She sees you but she is not afraid.

She silently drinks from the water.

A bird flies down and lands on her back.

You both listen as the bird sings a little song and then it flies off again into the trees.

You carefully come a little closer and try to see the unicorn a little better.

You wonder if unicorns like to eat candy.

You dig inside your backpack and find some delicious treats for sharing.

Think about which candy is your favorite.

What kind will you share with her today?

You place some candy on the ground between you and the unicorn.

She looks pleased.

She steps ever so softly and gradually she works her way towards the small pile of candy that you have offered her.

She nudges some pieces around with her nose and takes a small bite.

She is so filled with happiness because you have been kind to her.

Her horn begins to glow.

It glows a soft golden light.

You can feel the glow from the unicorn's horn warming your cheeks like light from the sun.

You feel that light go inside of you and spread throughout your body.

You feel that happy glow tingle in your toes and warming your fingertips.

Your heart feels light.

It feels as if you could just float away.

You take a big breath in.

That horn glows even brighter.

You breathe out.

Your unicorn slowly slips back into the forest.

You are peaceful and happy knowing that you have a special friendship and that you can return to this magical forest anytime you want and visit her.

You climb back onto your warm rock in the sun to sit a while longer.

You can still feel that warm glow inside of you and you know you will carry it with you when you wake.

Sit here as long as you like until you are ready to continue with your day.

My seven year old daughter and I listen to this at least once a week to fall asleep. The pacing is good for evening meditation, her voice is very soothing, and the scene been asked to meditate on is good for a seven year old.

I didnโ€™t fall asleep and I really needed to because Iโ€™m hot and tired and idk what to do and Iโ€™m young so I put in 5 stars because if I wasnโ€™t hot and tired I would of fell asleep

Beautiful imagery and I love the softness of voice. The recording itself was slightly quiet though. I had to have my phone volume all the way up and quite close for my child and I to both be able to hear.
