Kookaburra
by Merrilyn Air
As the sun dips below the trees of the eucalypt forest, the crickets begin their song, and the forest birds settle for the night. Kookaburras (Wiradjuri - guuguubarra) call to each other for one final time before they will emerge again and laugh at the dawn. Kookaburra was played on a Native American style flute that is made in Australia from uniquely Australian timbers - jarrah, and huon pine, resulting in pure tones that blend with the sounds of the pristine Tasmanian environment.
