This is about mastery over your money,
Your mind,
And yourself.
Think about something you've been avoiding because you're afraid you'll fail.
Now ask your soul.
What am I actually afraid will happen?
Because failure itself is just an outcome.
Usually,
There's another fear underneath it.
Maybe people will judge you.
Maybe you'll feel embarrassed.
Maybe you'll lose money.
Maybe you'll have to admit you were wrong,
Or perhaps the hardest one.
Maybe you'll give something everything you've got and discover you're still not good enough.
So we protect ourselves.
We don't fully commit.
Because then,
If it doesn't work,
We have an explanation.
I didn't really try.
Psychologically,
That's a very effective way of protecting your self-image,
But it's terrible for growth.
Because confidence isn't created by repeatedly proving that you can succeed.
Confidence develops when you discover that you can cope when you don't.
Think about that distinction.
You don't need certainty that your business will succeed.
You need confidence that you'll adapt if it doesn't.
You don't need to know you'll get the job.
You need to know rejection won't destroy you.
You don't need every decision to be correct.
You need to trust yourself to respond when one isn't.
That's resilience.
And strangely,
Once you stop demanding guaranteed success before taking action,
Failure becomes much less frightening.
Your objective changes from,
I must win,
To whatever happens,
I'll learn how to deal with it.
Master yourself first,
Everything else follows.
