This Inner Shadow meditation will help you release excess weight. Meet the side of yourself that gets in the way of weight loss. Come face to face with the part of you that you have not fully accepted. Often our subconscious mind holds on or creates excess weight for emotional protection. This practice will help you to let go of it.

Transcript

Sit comfortably in your chair and close your eyes.

From your nose take a deep breath in and breathe out.

Breathe in for 6 seconds and out for 6 seconds.

And now again breathe in 6 seconds and out 6 seconds.

And again in 6 seconds and out 6 seconds.

Imagine a ball floating over your feet.

The color of the ball is the exact right color that you need at this moment.

The ball soaks up all the tension in your body and leaves a peaceful sensation behind.

The ball slowly moves from your feet,

Towards your knees,

Tights,

Over your stomach,

Towards your chest and over your arms and head.

You are feeling deeply relaxed.

A wooden door appears in front of your eyes.

You open it and walk through.

You are stepping in your favorite place in nature.

Become aware of your surroundings.

What do you see?

How does the place look like?

How does it smell like?

How do you feel?

You keep walking around and find another wooden door.

You walk towards it.

The door is heavier than the previous one and you struggle to open it.

You manage to open it and you see a dark tunnel in front of your eyes.

You keep walking through the tunnel.

The tunnel becomes colder,

Wetter and dirtier.

Then you reach the end and see a big metal door.

You open it and walk through.

The place is dark,

Cold and feels very uncomfortable.

Suddenly you see the worst and ugliest version of yourself in front of you.

She is all your biggest fears in reality.

How does she look like?

What is she wearing?

How does her hair and skin look like?

How does she smell?

Slowly you approach her and ask how she feels.

Listen carefully.

What does she say?

You decide to grab her hand and take her with you out of this dark room and tunnel.

Both of you arrive back in your favorite place in nature.

You decide to walk around for a while.

After some time you notice another door,

But this door is very different than the ones before.

It is made out of the best materials and feels very luxurious.

This door opens very easily.

When both of you step through the door you notice a very beautiful room.

It is the most beautiful room you have ever seen.

How does it look like?

What's the smell?

How does it feel to be in there?

Slowly you notice another person approaching you.

It is you.

It's the best version of yourself.

She is incredibly beautiful.

She has the perfect body.

Her skin is flawless and her hair is shiny and healthy.

She wears the most flattering clothes.

When you look around you notice all of the trophies and achievements hanging in this room with her face on it.

This woman is very successful in what she does and people appreciate her for it.

You start to ask her how she feels.

Listen carefully.

What does she say?

Then the worst version of yourself asks her how she ended up there.

Listen carefully.

What does she say?

At the end of the conversation all three of you share a hug and you become one person.

The wooden door reappears and you walk through it.

You arrive back on your chair.

From your nose take a deep breath in for six seconds and breath out for another six seconds.

Breath in and breath out.

Become aware of the sensations inside your body.

When you are ready open your eyes.

Start your journal about what you experienced during this meditation.
