Dead Sea Dawn

We crossed over the Judean Desert to the oasis of En Gedi on the shores of the Dead Sea. We were offered a libation which was taken with some dates and figs. As the sun was setting, we determined to rise early the next morning to witness the Dead Sea dawn. Though it was still the dark before sunrise we could see the waters shimmer and feel the warmth of the still sand beneath our feet.
