This meditation offers you the rare gift of silence. After a brief introduction, you’ll be invited to sit quietly for ten minutes—free from guidance, instruction, or sound. It’s an opportunity to become familiar with stillness, to observe your thoughts without interference, and to gently ride the waves of whatever arises. A space to simply be. You will be invited back out when the 10 minutes are up.

Transcript

I noticed today,

As I put in my earbuds for an embarrassingly short walk,

Just how noisy life had become.

How dependent I'd come to be on the constant deluge of stimulation and productivity.

How completely this noise can block out time and space for my own thoughts,

For boredom,

And the creativity that arises from it.

So today,

I will not be guiding you.

Instead,

What will follow will be ten minutes of nothing.

Listen to your thoughts,

And ride the tides of feeling.

Be open,

And I'll invite you out on the other side.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down is fine.

And we'll begin.

Start to sense the breath as it moves through the body.

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Gradually allow this movement to grow.

Take a moment to sense the body,

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Ready to meet the rest of your day.
