In this 12-minute guided meditation, Laura will help you let go and open your heart. Release thoughts, worries, pain, stuck energy, and any emotions (such as anger, fear, sadness) that no longer serve you. You can use this practice anytime when thoughts and emotions start to feel overwhelming. It helps you feel more mindful and better prepared to manage the emotional weight of what you’re encountering right now. Let your breath be your guide, experience a visualisation technique to release and let go of anything holding you back, and then conclude with deep relaxation and a gentle return to your present moment. Your body, mind, and soul are renewed and ready for a new beginning.

Hello and welcome to place4be guided meditations.

Today's practice will focus on the topic of letting go.

We will work on releasing worries,

Pain,

Discomfort and energy or emotions that no longer serve us.

For some of you it will be easy,

While for others it may be more challenging.

Regardless of that,

Cultivate self-compassion and observe within.

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable position and start closing your eyes.

Begin to let go of any noise or distractions from the outside.

Bring your attention to your back and feel a line that goes from the base of your spine and extends up to the crown of your head and let your back keep straight during the practice.

Begin by connecting with your breath and simply observing its rhythm.

Inhale deeply and slowly from your nose,

Then exhale deeply and slowly from your nose.

Again,

Inhale deeply and slowly and exhale allowing your natural breath to guide you.

As you do this,

Notice the relaxation spreading throughout your entire body.

Now,

Gently direct your attention toward your heart center,

The area in the middle of your chest.

Take a moment to tune into the sensations you feel in this space.

As you focus on your heart chakra,

Pay close attention to any tension,

Discomfort or pain that may arise.

Allow yourself to be aware of these feelings without judgment.

If there are any energetic blocks in this area,

You may begin to notice that your breath feels shallower or more restricted,

Making it harder to take deep,

Full breaths.

Embrace this awareness as a part of your journey toward understanding and healing.

Please stay here and continue observing what is happening within yourself.

It is possible that this feeling is shifting around your body.

It may move down to your belly or it may move up to your throat.

Now,

Let's return to the breath.

Inhale deeply and slowly from your nose,

Then exhale through your mouth.

As you exhale,

Release anything that constraints you in your heart center.

Repeat this process three more times on your own.

Your heart is opening and you are expanding yourself.

Now that you are connected with your heart,

You are open to welcoming anything that needs to be released from your life.

An image or bodily sensation may arise that reminds you of something,

The energy or what is ready to leave.

Envision with your inner eye this image or sensation,

Anything that is ready to gracefully exit your energetic space.

Recognize that it is becoming like dust that can easily blow away with a gentle breeze.

Let your breath be your guide in this process of letting go.

Inhale deeply,

Open your chest and then slowly exhale from your mouth.

Once this space is renewed,

Your body,

Mind and soul are ready for a new beginning.

Life is a cycle with things coming and going all the time.

When you exhale,

Let go of everything that holds you back.

Just release.

Now I will leave you for a few minutes to connect with the calming energy of water,

Which will help you release and let go.

Now take another deep breath to release anything else that may have arisen in the past few minutes.

Inhale and expand your heart,

Exhale and release.

One more time,

Inhale deeply and slowly,

Open your heart again.

Feel how opening your heart makes yourself feel lighter.

Exhale deeply and slowly and finally let go.

Now we are getting ready to end this meditation practice.

Gently move your body,

Your hands,

Feet and fingers.

Release your shoulders and slowly turn your head first to the right and then to the left.

Finally,

Shake your body a bit.

Be kind to yourself as you begin to open your eyes.

Take your time transitioning out of the meditative state.

If you need,

Consider writing in your journal about your experience and what you need to let go of.

Thank you for practicing with me today and wish you a wonderful time ahead.
