I'm going to go ahead and invite you to find just a comfortable posture.

Just fix yourself just right.

This may be for you lying or sitting.

So invite you to soften your gaze.

Soften your shoulders.

Soften your brow.

And perhaps soften your cheekbones and the muscles around your lips.

Everything will be set free.

Never known,

Only known by us of the subtler.

Will you enjoy it?

Perhaps just now,

We'll take a very deep inhale,

And exhale with a sigh.

And now repeat with me if you will.

I am overwhelmed.

I am overcoming.

I am balancing.

I am impermanence.

I am consistency.

I am equanimity.

I am overwhelmed.

I am overcoming.

I am balancing.

I am impermanence.

I am consistency.

I am equanimity.

I am overwhelmed.

I am overcoming.

I am balancing.

I am impermanence.

I am consistency.

I am equanimity.

I am overwhelmed.

And just here,

Please if you will,

Inhale very deeply.

And exhale with a sigh.

And once again,

Inhale very deeply from the diaphragm,

Expand the lungs.

And exhale with a sigh out as loud as you can.

Repeat with me.

I am overwhelmed.

I am overcoming.

I am balancing.

I am impermanence.

I am consistency.

I am equanimity.

I am overwhelmed.

I liked the hopefulness as well as the acknowledgement of the overwhelm. I thought they rode alongside each other well and helped me come out of my despairing place. And I liked that it was a short meditation. So many times I want to practice meditation but I don’t have the attention span yet for fifteen or thirty minutes. This was very nice.
