Welcome,
Friends,
To our spring bloom after our long descent into the winter months.
Here we are back in the body as an awakening garden.
So let's begin by letting the body soften and just feeling the support of the ground beneath you.
Just feeling how the breath is traveling through you in this moment and just noticing what's present and bringing attention to the space surrounding the heart.
Again,
Just feeling into what's present as spring emerges as we touch into this organic timing of spring renewal.
Touching into the belly,
The limbs,
Perhaps bringing awareness to the soles of your feet as if they were surrounded by cool soil,
Resting and waiting to give birth to new spring blooms.
And beginning to imagine now your body as a garden,
Perhaps not managed,
Not a manicured garden,
But very much alive.
Parts wild and overgrown,
Perhaps not yet awake parts,
Just noticing what needs tending by your own careful care.
And beginning to scan the body,
Just noticing where something is beginning,
Where during the winter months or at midwinter,
You had planted a seed deep into the soil.
Perhaps it's been out of awareness until this very moment and just bringing that seed into the center of the precious heart,
Letting it know it matters,
That you will allow it to bloom at its own pace.
Spring doesn't rush,
It arises.
You might allow your heart to receive that this is the season of return.
How green begins to push through the darkness,
Meeting the sun.
And as these seeds rise in you and your body as a garden,
Just beginning to hold what needs tending,
What needs clearing,
What needs replanting,
Places perhaps the roots have become too tight to enmesh.
All seeds need space to bloom.
Knowing these seeds will bloom in their own time,
As will you,
Beloved.
And returning your awareness back to the body.
You might notice any places of greater comfort or softening when they have been met with your own care and attention.
Renewal happens throughout the year.
And in spring,
It seems ever present.
May the returning green in the grass and blooms and the flowers uplift your precious heart and offer a sense of wonder.
And just remaining here as long as you wish.
Or if you are ready,
Just opening the eyes and moving the body slowly.
