Hello,
My beautiful kindred soul.
Welcome to this meditation to help you develop a deepening embodiment of self-trust.
If this meditation speaks to the quiet places in your being,
I hope you'll come back to it many times as you bake this idea of self-trust deeper into your nature.
It will bring more ease to your life if you do.
So please find a quiet place,
Warm,
To sit or lay down without interruption.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Place one hand over your heart and the other over your lower belly,
Feeling your chest and belly rising and falling with each breath in and out.
How amazing your body is to do so much work for you without any conscious thought,
Making it so you get to experience life in all of its wonderful variation.
Now bring your conscious awareness to asking your body to take a long,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Deep into your belly.
Hold for a few seconds at the top of the breath.
Now take some time to exhale slowly through your mouth,
Making a soft sigh as you release all the breath.
And do this one more time.
Take a long,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Deep into your belly.
Hold for a few seconds at the top of the breath.
And exhale slowly through your mouth,
Making a soft sigh as you release all the breath.
Allow your breath to return to your body's chosen rhythm.
And place both hands over your lower belly now.
Bring your conscious awareness to a pondering of the concept of self-trust.
To trust yourself is to come to live viscerally and mentally in a state of unwavering belief in your ability to handle with grace and acceptance and gratitude anything that comes to your attention at any given moment.
To experience wide-awake awareness and true gratitude for what is,
Without needing to control any part of it.
To ease into an inevitable lightness of being,
Free from the tethers to past conditioning that kept you controlled with fear.
Freedom is the side effect of embodying self-trust.
And this freedom frees up so much energy that can now be available for creation of the life you genuinely know you can have,
Without having to work so hard.
As self-trust grows,
You become free from fear of the unknown.
Free from others' opinions.
Free from old conditioned beliefs.
Free from needing outside approval.
Free from fear of making mistakes.
Free from fear of succeeding.
Free from wasted worrying.
Free from saying no when you mean yes,
Or yes when you mean no.
Free from suffering for long periods of time.
Free from needing more things,
More information,
More money,
More outside love,
And more time.
With self-trust,
You get to live more in the present moment,
The is,
Rather than living from and in the was.
With growing self-trust,
You operate from a place of calm,
Centeredness,
Assuredness,
At the core of your body.
To make every decision of your day with a confidence there is never a right or wrong decision.
There is never a way to predict outcomes with true certainty.
There is only making a choice to the best of your ability at any given moment,
And living with the outcomes.
Knowing you know enough to trust yourself to handle it all,
No matter what.
When you hold yourself with light hands,
With a gentle embrace,
Nothing is a problem that can't be reimagined into a kinder state of being.
You can get to this lightness of being,
Living in the present moment,
With a deep knowing in your ability to handle it all,
Without a need to control or force outcomes.
Your body and mind do not fare well with force,
With pressure,
With willful pushing.
They break in time,
And this has been life so far.
There is another way to live with more grace,
More energy,
More comfort.
Your body and mind do well when supported with gentle nudges,
Intuitive guidance,
Learning from doing challenging things,
And putting one foot in front of the other,
Over and over again,
On this miracle of a life marathon we each are gifted with.
Take this moment to imagine living the rest of your life with a rooted,
Deep trust in your own capacity to create your life,
Moment to moment,
Completely free from expectations,
Yet so easeful that it always unfolds as it needs to,
With no choice being either good or bad,
Or right or wrong,
But just as it turns out to be,
Accepted for whatever it is that shows up.
Trusting yourself to walk the windy path of your existence,
Without judgment,
Without fear,
More easily walking the path right in front of you,
Without overthinking about what might be ahead.
There is a lightness of being living this way,
Full of self-trust.
There is a deep grace to living this way,
Trusting in your capacity to handle whatever shows up.
There is a frequency to trust that begets more of the same,
Which will be a gentler experience of life as new like-frequency things start showing up.
Your body will communicate within itself with more openness and confidence,
Allowing better health to happen,
And this in turn will allow a more open connection to the outside environment,
With the same openness and confidence your body has for itself.
As your self-trust grows and deepens,
So does your world change to one of possibility and opportunity,
And ease and acceptance for what is.
Let your heart open to living this way for today,
Just for today.
Try on these new potentials of being in the moment,
With trust in your body,
Trust in your mind being the safe space no matter external circumstances.
Feel the freedom that comes with this practice,
And keep doing it until it's how you are.
What if you can approach every moment with unknowing,
You can never make a mistake?
What if trusting yourself in every moment attracts a more comfortable life?
What if trusting yourself makes it unnecessary to concern yourself with trusting others?
Place one hand back over your heart again,
And leave the other over your lower belly,
And repeat after me out loud or in your mind.
Today,
I choose to embody trust in every cell,
In every memory,
In every thought.
Today,
I accept my decisions in every moment,
Without needing it to be any other way.
Today,
I trust myself to do my best every moment,
With less expectation and less judgment.
Today,
I practice becoming free from fear,
Free from old conditioning,
Free from worry.
As I go through my day today,
Every decision is enough,
And I am always enough.
I trust you to trust yourself.
Namaste.
