Before we begin,
Take a moment to arrive into your body exactly as you are.
As you listen to my voice,
I am opening the flow of raking,
A gentle steady field of light and support.
Just know that you are held within this gentle energy.
This field is here to support rest,
Give you ease,
And keep you protected in its soft but bright frequency.
You don't need to stay awake for this,
You can let yourself drift off at any point.
For now,
Take a moment to feel the surface beneath your body,
The bed,
The floor,
Feel the quiet weight of gravity,
Notice how the body is already being supported,
And allow yourself to receive that support.
If it feels comfortable for you,
Let your eyes close.
And before we move through the body,
Let's take a little time with the breath,
Just noticing how it moves.
With every inhalation and exhalation,
Follow the journey of your breath,
Inside you and outside you.
You are breathing,
It's already happening.
Keep on watching your breath,
And then we will start with a simple rhythm.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,
One more time,

Inhale in your own way and in your own rhythm,
And let it out however you would like to.
Within the Reiki field,
We will begin to gently move our awareness through the body,
Starting at the crown of the head,
Just noticing the top of the head.
Let your awareness rest here for a moment,
Feel the roots of your hair,
Feel the energy moving in and around,
Held,
Supported,
Within the guidance of Reiki.
Shift your awareness to the forehead,
The space behind the eyes,
Your eyes.
If there's tension,
Don't try to remove it.
Just allow it to be here and let it fade with your awareness,
Your breath.
Feel your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your lips,
Your jaw,
Your tongue in your mouth.
Let them all soften,
Feeling your whole face,
Your ears,
The top of your head,
Your hair,
Your scalp,
Forehead,
Eyes,
Nose,
Cheeks,
Jaw,
Tongue in your mouth.
Inhale through the nose and let it out however you wish.
At the back of the neck,
Let your shoulders drop slightly or just simply stop holding them up.
Feel the awareness flowing down the arms,
Upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Your hands,
All the way to the fingertips.

There's no trying to open anything here.
There's no working,
Just resting with your breath.
Just allowing the weight of your chest flow down onto the ground.
You are resting.
Awareness moving down to the solar plexus now.
The upper belly.
This is a place that often stays alert but tonight it's allowed to soften.
No decisions are needed to be made here at this moment.
Just allowing ease and softness.
Awareness moving down even lower to your belly.
To the hara,
Where your belly button is.
Feel how the breath moves in this area,
How gently it moves.
No need to guide your breath,
Just watch it and watch your belly move with your breath.
Rising up and down.
Awareness moving down to the base of the spine,
To your pelvis,
The hips.
Feel the weight,
The strength of this part of your body and let the ground you're on help you carry its way.
Allow support in and let go of this heavy weight you're carrying.
It is safe to rest.
Awareness flowing down to your legs,
Thighs,
Knees,
Lower legs.
No effort required here.
Moving down to your feet,
The soles of your feet,
Your toes.
You can wiggle them if you like and then let go.
Take a deep breath in.
Let the whole body feel complete.
In through the nose.
Letting all out,
Nothing missing,
Nothing unfinished.
Each center of awareness,
The head,
The heart,
The belly,
The base,
Settling naturally.
And all held within the reiki field of light.
Knowing that you don't need to heal anything right now,
You don't need to understand.
And just being here is enough.
We will now let a simple mantra support this transition into sleep.
You don't need to repeat it,
You don't need to focus on it.
Just let it move through you like a lullaby.
