From work mode to home mode,
A little.
Transition meditation.
Before you move into the rest of your day,
Take a moment to just simply arrive here.
Maybe you're sitting in your car.
In your driveway.
At your desk,
Or maybe you're just outside your front door.
Before you move forward,
Give yourself permission to pause.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And then gently exhale.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Just allow your shoulders to soften.
Relax your jaw.
Unclench your hands and just feel your body beginning to let go and release any tension.
The workday may be over,
But sometimes our minds continue to carry it with us.
The conversations we had,
The decisions we had to make.
Was it the right decision?
The things we needed to get accomplished and the things that we didn't get accomplished and are left for us for tomorrow.
For this moment,
You don't need to solve anything.
You don't need to replay anything.
You don't need to repair for tomorrow.
You just need to be still.
Take another slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing the weight of the day.
Hmm.
.
.
Remind yourself,
I can leave what belongs to today with today.
Whatever was completed today was enough.
Whatever remains can wait.
Tomorrow will have its own time,
Its own energy,
And its own opportunities.
But this moment,
Right now,
It belongs to you.
Maybe take a look around you and begin to notice your environment,
The space.
Maybe gently notice your breath and your chest rising and falling.
Notice your body.
Is it tense or is it relaxed?
Notice the subtle shift from doing to just being.
You are transitioning now.
From work to home.
From responsibility to presence.
From what was to what is here now.
Take another deep breath in.
And slowly let it go.
As you step into your evening,
Whatever it brings,
Choose to arrive fully.
To be present with yourself.
Present with the people you love.
Present for whatever the next part of your day holds.
And give yourself another little reminder.
I can leave what belongs to today with today.
The workday is complete.
And I can simply be.
