A guided visualization practice to evoke trust in what your future lies ahead. Starting with a body scan, this meditation will guide you through a visualization down a path to then create trust in the future, letting go of any anxieties or worries.

Hello,

Thank you for joining me for today's practice.

I invite you to ground down into your seat,

Fixing any clothing so that you can find a comfortable stillness.

Feeling your feet planted on the floor,

Your back against the chair.

And I invite you to begin to find your breath,

Perhaps picking a focal point on the body where the breath is entering and exiting.

Perhaps this is the tip of your nose,

The back of your throat,

Your shoulders moving up and down,

Your stomach filling with air on the inhale,

And again,

Flattening on the exhale.

Allowing your breath to center you to ground you into this present moment into this practice.

Starting at the top of your head,

I invite you to send a wave of relaxation through your scalp,

Through every hairline,

To your forehead,

Your eyebrows,

Allowing all muscles to ease in the eyes,

The cheeks,

Your nose,

Your mouth,

Your tongue,

Your jaw.

Just allowing this wave of relaxation to move into your neck,

To your shoulders,

Down through your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms,

Your wrist,

Your hands,

And all 10 fingers,

Allowing all tension to relax down through your chest,

Through your abdomen,

Your stomach,

And your navel.

Allowing this wave of relaxation to move onto your backside,

Through your upper back,

Your middle back,

And your lower back.

Allowing this wave of relaxation to travel down every vertebrae on your spine.

Perhaps putting a color to this wave of relaxation,

Perhaps it's a calming blue,

Or a gold,

A healing gold or white light,

Or simply feeling this wave of relaxation is okay too.

Allowing all tension to be relaxed through your hips,

Your pelvic region,

Through your thighs,

Your knees,

And your calves.

Allowing it to travel through your ankles,

Your feet,

Through all 10 toes.

Taking a few moments to bask in this state of peace,

Perhaps using your exhale to let go of any tension in the body that still remains.

I invite you to now enter your heart center,

Located at the center of your chest,

And begin to feel a sense of love and gratitude for this day,

For this moment,

And this practice.

Feeling grateful for your life,

For the sun,

For the earth,

For a higher power if you identify with one.

Perhaps putting a color to this gratitude you're feeling,

Such as gold,

Or pink,

Or simply just bask in this positive energy that you're feeling,

Both perfectly okay.

Now I invite you to begin to envision yourself walking along a trail.

Maybe this path is a nature,

Maybe it's a sidewalk,

Perhaps the path is made of water,

And you are rowing on a boat down a canal.

Whatever comes to you,

Trust it.

Watch yourself as you walk along this path,

Bringing yourself into this moment.

Is this path made of dirt?

Is it gravel or even pavement?

Whatever comes to you is perfect,

Exactly the way it is.

Take some time to simply notice what is around you.

Notice the sky above you,

Pay attention to the detail that surrounds you.

Perhaps there are trees,

Flowers,

Or beautiful buildings.

Take a few moments to bring yourself to this moment as you journey along this path.

Perhaps feeling the lightness in the air,

Or the warmth of the sun against your skin.

Notice you are now coming up to an intersection where the path splits into multiple paths.

These paths ahead symbolize your future.

You stop contemplating which path to take.

Maybe you're feeling a bit of anxiety about having to decide which path is best for you.

It's often hard for us to know which path is meant for us in life,

Especially with the uncertainty of the world right now.

We often are pushed to make decisions quite blindly,

And it causes nervousness,

Doubt,

And anxiety.

Looking at the paths,

Feel yourself growing wings.

Maybe you visualize this transformation happening,

Or maybe you just feel them growing.

Watch yourself begin to fly upwards from where you were standing.

Feel the air as you fly above the crossroad,

And take a few moments to enjoy the feeling of weightlessness,

The feeling of flying.

Now,

High in the sky,

I invite you to look down at the path that you were on.

Notice each path is illuminated in a golden light.

They are all beautiful and contain many blessings.

Also notice all the paths lead to the same destination,

And that destination happens to be where you see yourself when you are young.

I invite you to begin to envision yourself in 10 years.

What is your career like?

Where will you be in the world?

Who will be in your life?

What kind of person will you be?

Perhaps you don't know these answers yet,

And that is okay too.

Simply feel the positive energy of what your life will be like.

Looking down,

You see the destination is filled with that positivity of your future.

Now again,

Looking at the paths,

You notice that all these paths will take you to where you were meant to go in your life,

To where you want to go.

Feel joy within you that the paths may offer,

Whichever you decide to take to get to your destination.

Take a few more moments enjoying what it feels like to fly,

Finding gratitude for what your future lies ahead,

Knowing that it will be beautiful and filled with so many blessings,

Regardless of where life takes you.

I invite you to find your breath once again,

Coming back into your body and back into this room.

I invite you to take a deep breath in,

Inhaling trust,

And on your exhale,

I invite you to release any anxieties about the future that you may have.

Take a moment to be grateful for where you are right now on this current path of life,

As this is all leading you to your amazing future.

Take two more deep breaths,

Inhaling trust,

And exhaling any anxieties or uncertainty.

And when you feel ready,

Bring some movement back into your body and gently open your eyes.

This concludes today's practice.
