Hello and welcome to this short meditation to come back to the present moment.
You may have chosen this practice at any time of day to take the time to come back to yourself and feel more grounded and centered.
So make yourself comfortable either in a seat or laying down.
You can close your eyes or simply drop your gaze down the tip of your nose and allow your gaze to blur a little.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Through your mouth,
Sigh it out.
As audible as you like.
Again,
Like that,
Big breath in.
And let it go.
One more time,
Biggest breath yet,
Inhale.
Through your mouth,
Exhale.
And then seal your lips and allow your breath to move easily now.
And drop your awareness down into your body.
Take the time to really feel your whole body.
Notice details like the parts of your body that touch the ground.
The texture of your clothing on your skin.
The sense of weight of your body.
And as you take the time to feel your whole body.
If you discover any points of tension.
Take a moment to allow those areas to soften any amount.
You may still be aware of your breath in your body.
A sense of your whole body expanding and letting go with each breath.
And now shift your awareness to your ears and to your sense of hearing.
Allow your sense of hearing to truly open up.
And welcome all of the sounds that you can discover right now.
Notice sounds that are off in the distance.
Some that are closer towards you.
Notice the sounds you hear through your right ear.
The sounds you hear through your left ear.
And now welcome the whole soundscape that you can discover.
Allowing each sound to simply be.
And now shifting your awareness away from your ears and to your eyes.
And when you're ready,
If they're not already,
Open your eyes.
And take in whatever it is that you see.
You may stick with one object or you might look around a little.
And rather than seeing an object for an object,
Can you choose to see things like colors or textures or movement?
Allow everything else to fall away as you simply see.
And now prepare to let go of your sense of sight.
And as you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Come back to the sensations in your body.
Feel the weight of your body.
Soften any points of tension.
And we'll finish off with three deep breaths once again.
A big inhale through your nose.
Through your mouth,
Let it go.
Again,
Like that big breath in.
Let it go.
And one last time,
Deep inhale.
And sigh it out.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
