When we think we are done...it usually means we are just beginning. This is the beginning of getting to an end. May our cells never forget the feeling, may our minds never forget the learnings, may our hearts never stop holding hope of beginning anew each day.

When you think you're done reading,

Or listening,

Or watching,

Or asking,

You're not.

You're just beginning.

After you close the book,

After the episode ends,

After the credits roll,

I urge you,

Stay still for a moment.

Stay in that moment.

Sit and wait for it.

See what comes up in you.

Let the emotional stirring happen after you have read,

Listened,

Felt,

Grieved,

And even screamed.

Something will spill.

Something will run over the brim of what we hold down and in.

This is the beginning of getting to an end.

An end to inhumane and unjust ways of moving through the world.

May our cells never forget the feeling.

May our minds never forget the learnings.

May our hearts never stop holding hope and anguish simultaneously in the chambers that make us human.

Namaste.

✨Lovely background music; lovely voice…..I wish it were longer. ☮️ I didn’t anticipate such a powerful message in a meditation that short.✨I’ll be returning to this again and again. Thank you!🙏🏻🤍

I waited after this gorgeous practice. I felt a tactile "thunk" as the energy from my spine reconnected deep into the Earth, grounding me and immediately flooding me with a sense of calm and peace that have been largely absent since early September. When I attend a family member's visitation tonight and funeral services tomorrow, the logistics I have been so focused on will be of far less importance than the fact of presence, of gratitude, of being able to gather (if in a more limited capacity), and in memory and honor of a life well-lived. Fretting over what to wear suddenly receded into the background, as did a host of other minutae. Thank you so much for the gentle reminder to pause and reflect and simply to wait, giving ourselves the time we need and deserve to process where we are in our journeys and what we have just experienced. We can do amazing things, but without reflection, they do not truly become part of us in anything more than a superficial way. Rather than simply looking back and saying, "I remember doing that," processing our experiences through moments of inner space and quiet allows us to look back and say, "I remember doing and feeling and truly taking in that experience." All the experiences - large and small - in the world mean little to the spirit if they are simply completed checkboxes on a "to-do" list of life. I may have fewer or more checkboxes than anyone else I meet, but I will be able to look at each one and know how each one changed me and helped shape me into who I am today. Thank you again for this reminder that even reading a book, or watching television, or listening to music can be just as important. Bookmarked, downloaded, and added to Playlists. Thank you for sharing this beautiful gift with us here in the Insight Timer community. I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🤲🏻❤🤲🏻

Even though your meditation may have been brief that picture speaks volumes in terms of our relationship to the world. Namaste.

Wonderful, especially given its brevity. More to say after another listen or two, perhaps.
