This is Jodi of Jodi McLean Yoga and the Online Meditation Nook.
Welcome to this short daily meditation.
I'm so glad you're here with me.
Let's take some time to settle into our meditation together by getting comfortable.
So perhaps you'd like to lie down or find a comfortable seated position,
Maybe propping a pillow or a folded blanket underneath the seat.
Or perhaps you'd just like to sit in a chair,
The spine nice and tall,
And your feet firmly planted on the ground.
Just simply remembering that comfort is queen in our meditation practice.
So getting into a space where you can sit comfortably for the next few minutes.
And then as you get comfortable,
Start to come into your environment and slowly make your way into the present space.
You might notice some of the things around you,
Maybe the ambient noise,
Maybe whatever's underneath you,
Or a blanket laying gently on top of your lap.
And as you bring your awareness into the present space,
Take a nice deep cleansing breath,
Big breath in,
And then gently let that go.
Do that one more time,
A nice big cleansing breath,
And gently release.
If it feels comfortable for you,
You can close your eyes.
As your eyelids float closed,
Start to bring your awareness to your breathing.
Simply watching,
Witnessing,
And observing your breath as it moves in and as it moves out of the body.
Begin to tune in to the subtleties of your breath.
Maybe the slight expansion and contraction of the belly space.
Maybe the slight expansion and contraction of the ribcage.
Perhaps moving that awareness up to the chest space or the heart space.
Our breath is the simplest tool we have to bring us into the present moment.
As you settle into the awareness of your breath,
I want to invite you to begin to soften the physical body,
Feeling a sense of ease and relaxation.
Letting any heaviness,
Doubts,
Fears,
Constriction just simply melt away.
Can you begin to feel a sense of ease washing over you?
In this moment,
There are no expectations,
No judgements,
No criticisms.
Begin to imagine that you are a totally shapeless and formless being.
You are a pure field of awareness.
Imagine in this moment that if there are any lax feelings you might be having,
That those feelings are turned into wholeness.
Imagine that your life has no drama,
No charge.
Imagine that in any moment you can set any target or goal and effortlessly flow right into it.
Not only can you flow right into it,
But you can achieve it.
Take this next moment to slow down the swirl of the outside world.
To become more fully in tune with that stillness that rests deep down inside.
Within that stillness is where the best version of yourself lies.
We can always return to that space.
Now begin to imagine that all habits,
Rituals,
And routines that are non-nourishing just lift away.
They drop off of you and they completely separate from your physiology.
Imagine that as you look around there are no constrictions,
There are no roadblocks or speed bumps.
That there is only pure and beautiful infinite possibilities all around you.
Your ability to manifest is limitless.
It's beyond the beyond the beyond.
Take these next few breaths to listen to a few affirmations.
Feel free to repeat them silently to yourself after me.
I give myself permission to be authentic.
I accept myself unconditionally.
I believe I have purpose and that my imprint on this world is important.
I am strong.
I am courageous.
And I am confident.
I honor myself in my practice and in my life.
I am open to letting go of attachments.
I live in the present moment.
I am grateful for all of the goodness in my life.
I am grateful for my strong connection to this universe.
And most of all I am grateful for my own unique vibration.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Your anchor,
The life force within you.
Allow the stillness within to settle deeply into the body.
Within this stillness,
Within the subtleties of your breath,
Within this present space,
Can this moment be enough?
All together,
Let's take a nice cleansing breath.
And do that one more time,
Nice big breath.
And gently release.
Sometimes we make our way back into our day,
Reminding yourself that you can always come back to this space,
Come back to this stillness that rests deep inside to become more fully in tune with who you want to be moving forward.
As you feel ready,
As you feel complete,
You can gently open your eyes,
Returning to your sanctuary,
This space,
This time you've carved out of your day to manifest this next phase,
This next cycle on your journey.
