Welcome back to your safe haven,
A place to land just as you are.
I'm Jenna Gilbert.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Allow your body to settle,
Whether you're sitting or lying down,
Let there be nothing to fix,
Nothing to improve.
If you feel comfortable,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale out of your mouth.
Again,
Inhale and exhale as you let something go.
One more time,
Deep breath in and a long,
Steady breath out.
Now bring your attention to the points of contact between your body and the surface that you have beneath you.
Your feet,
Your legs,
Your hips,
Your back,
Your arms,
Your neck,
Your head,
All the way to the crown of your head.
Let yourself feel supported,
As if just for these few moments,
You don't have to hold yourself up.
The world's got you.
Bring your awareness to your breath,
Not changing it,
Just noticing it,
The natural rhythm,
The quiet rise and fall.
If your mind wanders,
And it will,
Just gently guide it back,
Like you would guide someone you cared about.
No judgment,
Just returning.
Now imagine a soft,
Steady light right at the center of your chest.
This light represents your energy,
Your presence,
Your you-ness,
Your unique self.
No matter how scattered or overwhelmed you may feel,
This part of you remains steady,
Strong,
Soft.
Just notice it.
As you breathe in,
Imagine that light at the center of your chest growing slightly brighter.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine it softening and starting to spread gently throughout your body.
Breathing in,
Light gathering.
Breathing out,
Light expanding.
Now let it move into your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Into your hands.
Down your torso,
Your hips,
Your legs,
All the way down to your feet.
If there's tension anywhere along the way,
You don't have to force it away.
Just let that bright and brightening light lead it,
Not fixing,
Not changing,
Just slowly allowing,
Welcoming.
Now gently bring your mind to the idea that maybe you've been a little disconnected from yourself lately.
Maybe busy,
Overwhelmed,
Maybe pulled in different directions,
Feeling stretched.
Instead of judging that,
Just acknowledge.
Of course you have.
We have important things to do.
Quietly offer yourself this thought,
I can come back to myself right now.
I can be connected.
Not perfectly,
Never perfect.
Not all at once,
Just a little closer,
A little more knit together.
Sit with that thought.
Feel your breath again.
Feel your body again.
And just feel that steady light within you.
This is always there.
Even when things feel chaotic,
Even when your thoughts are loud,
There's a part of you that remains grounded,
Steady,
And whole.
Take a slightly deeper breath in,
All the way down to your belly.
And exhale slowly.
As you feel more grounded,
Begin to notice the space around you again.
The sounds,
Whether they be far away,
Close by,
Temperature,
Whether it's warmer,
Cooler,
Steady.
Move your fingers a little,
Move your toes.
And when you're ready,
Slowly,
Open your eyes.
You can return to this place any time that you need,
Because it's something that you create,
It's something that you remember.
Thank you for joining me.
And I hope you have a bright day.
You
