So I invite you to get comfortable,
No matter where you are right now.
If you have a chance to lie down or find a comfortable position in a chair that you love,
That nourishes your body and makes you feel safe.
Just get comfortable in the chair.
Let the chair wrap around you or the bed soften as you lay,
Supporting you.
Just start to let go.
Let the space that you're in support you completely.
Start to bring your mind into the center of your body.
Anchoring into your heart.
Trying to focus on your heartbeat if you can.
Perhaps the rise and fall of your chest as you lay or sit.
Taking a minute to be still in our very busy days.
You don't have anything to do right now.
Just be with you.
Just connect to your heart.
Often as women we're very critical of our bodies.
There's always something that we don't want,
We don't like.
What I want us to do now is practice a level of self-love and complete and total and utter admiration for ourselves.
To start with,
Think about someone or something that you love unconditionally or that loves you.
This might be your children,
Your partner,
Your animals.
Start with your heart and feel that love that that provides you.
Notice the warming sensation of your body as you think about that love.
Let that love spread down or up your body out towards your limbs all the way to your fingertips and your toes.
Just filling your body with unconditional love,
Thinking about the way that that love makes you feel.
As you fill yourself with this warmth and sense of love,
Practice a mantra.
Say to yourself,
I deserve love.
I am love.
This might be really counterintuitive to some of us because we're often so critical and so unkind to ourselves.
What we're doing now is we're spreading this sense of love for ourselves and how incredible our bodies are.
Perhaps there's one part of your body that you're particularly critical of.
You could send all of that love to that area.
Just for five minutes.
Just give your body that level of love that you know that it deserves,
But sometimes you can't give it.
Feel that deep connection to your heart,
To your ability to love and be loved and give that love to yourself.
If you're focusing on a particular part right now,
Perhaps tell yourself why you love that rather than why you hate.
Connect to the way that you speak to your beautiful friends or loved ones or children and just adapt that to yourself.
We can tell ourselves that we love ourselves,
That we're okay just the way that we are,
That we're perfect in this moment.
We don't have to be anything else.
Just taking these moments to send love.
Start to spread that love back out to the rest of your body now.
The warm feeling up into your chest,
Across your shoulders,
Perhaps into your face,
A feeling of flush or warmth in your body.
So you just notice that love filling you up and just really taking over you.
As we go about our day today,
Just be mindful of that level of love and appreciation you had for yourself.
When some of those critical thoughts come back out,
Bring yourself back to this moment.
This moment when you gave yourself a chance.
Just a chance to connect,
Just a chance to be loved.
We don't always have to get it right,
But we can have these small moments.
Now as you start to notice the chair or the bed that you're laying on,
How it's supporting you,
How it's held you while you are able to do this practice.
Just start to bring your awareness back into your body,
Back into your breath,
Back into your heartbeat.
Take that love with you throughout the day.
And remember that you are worth everything and all of the love.
Challenge that inner voice sometimes and let it know that you too can be loved.
In the meantime,
Have a beautiful day.
