Greetings.
As always,
I'll ask you to find a comfortable place,
Get settled in,
And when you're ready,
Gently closing the eyes.
Taking a moment to become aware of your environment,
Becoming aware of your surroundings,
Any sounds,
Any smells,
The energy in the room.
Taking a moment to be present,
Taking a moment to be mindful,
Taking a moment to become one with the energies of the universe.
Focusing our attention on the breath.
We'll begin with a series of breathing techniques designed to relax the mind and put the body at ease.
You can lay down if you like for this meditation,
Or if sitting,
Please feel free to extend the legs,
Making yourself comfortable.
This is your time.
This is your moment.
Take your time,
Really settle in,
And once you're settled,
I want you to take just a moment to begin to feel the energy flow through the body,
Flowing from the soles of the feet,
Along calves,
Thighs,
Hips,
Abdomen,
And the energy along the spine,
Across the shoulders,
Through the arms,
Feeling the palms of the hands as they begin to tingle or feel warm,
Feeling the energy,
Feeling the energy in the neck,
The face,
And the forehead,
The top of the head,
And from our root chakra,
Taking a slow long and deep breath up to the crown.
Inhale,
Hold,
And release down to the root chakra,
Feeling the air,
Moving through the lungs,
Feeling the belly as it rises and falls with each inhalation and exhalation,
Noticing the body becoming relaxed,
Settling in,
And from the second chakra,
A slow long and deep breath up to the crown.
Inhale,
Hold,
And release,
Releasing to the second chakra,
And from our third chakra,
Feeling the energy,
Again,
A slow long and deep breath,
Breathing in through the nose,
Exhaling through the nose,
Inhale,
Hold,
Release,
And from our second chakra,
Breathing in,
Slow long and deep breath up to the crown,
Inhale,
Hold,
And release.
Moving to our heart chakra,
A slow long and deep inhalation from the heart to the top of the head,
Inhale,
Hold,
And release,
Down to the heart chakra,
Feeling the energy moving through the body,
Feeling the warmth of the hands and feet.
From the throat chakra,
Breathing up to the crown,
Slow long and deep breath in,
Inhale,
Hold,
And release,
And from the root chakra,
A slow long and deep breath in,
I'm sorry,
Up to the crown,
Hold,
And release.
Now releasing to the root chakra,
Feeling the body release and relax,
Feeling the muscles and the feet,
The ankles,
Loosening up,
Relaxing,
Releasing the tension and the stress of the day,
Feeling the calves and the legs,
Allowing them to be heavy and relax,
Completely at peace,
Complete rest,
Complete surrender from stress,
Feeling the energy moving in through the legs,
The base of the spine,
Along the spine,
And the arms,
Feeling the body sinking deep into your mats,
On your cushions,
Down into your pillows,
Releasing all the energy,
Stress,
And strain of the week,
Stress and strain on the body,
Being removed,
Being washed away by a bountiful river,
Wiggling the fingers and the toes,
Allowing the legs,
Arms,
The body to grow limp,
Turning your head from left to right,
Left ear to left shoulder,
Right ear to right shoulder,
And again left,
Right,
Right to the left,
Again to the right,
Becoming aware of the breath,
Feeling the energy and the release in the shoulders and the neck,
The face,
The eyes and the eyebrows,
The entire face,
Relaxed and at rest,
Feeling the heart beat slow down,
Feeling the breath become slow and shallow,
All of our focus on the inner sky that is within,
Placing all of our attention on the divinity that is within,
Taking just a moment to be free,
To be centered,
Allowing the heart slow down,
The breathing to slow down,
The mind to slow down,
Once we begin to step out of the mindset that says we must be busy to be productive,
And realize that rest is one of the most productive things that we can do.
Rest produces healing,
Regeneration and renewal of the mind and the body.
I'm asking you to take a moment more to go within,
Within to the inner sky,
Feeling the energy of the room,
And when you're ready,
Slowly become aware of the breath,
Feeling the air rise and fall through the lungs,
How does it feel to be totally at peace?
How does it feel to be totally present in this moment,
At ease,
Resting,
Relaxing,
Rejuvenated?
What does it feel like in this moment to be at total peace and surrender,
Total rest and relaxation?
Allowing the body to slow down,
Relax,
Allowing the body to remain resting and rested,
Allowing the body to be at peace and the mind to be still,
Quiet,
Resting,
Wiggling the hands and the toes,
Snuggling in,
Finding a comfortable place.
Ready,
Slowly,
Ever so slowly becoming aware of your surroundings,
Ever so slowly focusing on the breath.
When you're ready,
Gently opening the eyes,
Becoming aware in this moment.
As always,
I'd like to thank you for allowing me to be your tour guide as we journey into the soul.
Namaste.
