Welcome to this loving kindness meditation.

This meditation strengthens your compassion and connection towards yourself and others.

It also helps to release stress.

Start by finding a comfortable seated position.

Now take a few deep breaths.

Now take a few deep breaths.

And relax completely.

I want you to bring your attention towards yourself.

Silently repeat after me.

May I be happy.

May I be safe.

May I be healthy.

May I live with ease.

Now bring your awareness towards a person who you love deeply.

Send that person loving kindness by silently repeating after me.

May you be happy.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you live with ease.

Bring your awareness towards a person who you feel neutral about.

Send that person loving kindness by repeating after me.

May you be happy.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you live with ease.

Bring your attention towards a person who you feel negative about.

Send them loving kindness by silently repeating.

May you be happy.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you live with ease.

Stay with your current feelings for a while.

Slowly bring your awareness back.

Take a few deep breaths.

This is really useful. I enjoy reaching that inner sense of centred peace I achieve when directing my energy at someone I'm experiencing negative feelings toward. This practice seems to relieve a pain or stress I feel there.
