Sit comfortably,
Place both your feet on the ground,
Your arms gently resting,
And allow the body to relax.
Relax your arms,
Relax your feet and your legs,
Relax your stomach and your chest,
Relax your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands and fingers,
Relax the muscles of your neck,
Letting go of any tension that may be sitting in the muscles of your neck,
Relax your face,
The tiny muscles around your mouth,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
Allow the body to settle down,
And gently turn your attention inwards,
Pay attention to where your thoughts are being pulled,
Perhaps to some thoughts of the past,
Some thoughts of the future,
Perhaps towards some sensations in the present,
Don't fight these thoughts or sensations,
Acknowledge them,
And set them aside for now,
For now try and pay attention to the silence within,
The silence beneath all thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations,
The silence in which all thoughts enter,
Listen,
Allow yourself to get comfortable with this silence,
Hold on to it just for a few split seconds,
And holding on to this silence,
Allow yourself to gently return back to the awareness of your room,
Allow your eyes to gently blink open,
Looking out into this world,
Ready to engage with it once again.
