This meditation is for those who would like to connect to their own higher self in their meditation practice. You will be guided through four steps in this practice - relaxing the body; relaxing the mind; stepping into the silence that lies beneath the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that usually occupy our mind; and then connecting to your higher self. It would be useful if you could spend a few minutes reflecting on the following 3 questions before listening to the guided meditation: what qualities in others inspire you a lot, what virtues are stirred within you as you listen to your favourite songs or pieces of literature, and what values have you stood up for in your life? If you wish, you might also want to visualise a symbol that would represent the qualities/virtues/values you have identified above.
