Forgive and forget.

In the game of human life and relationships,

Sometimes it does happen that we may give sorrow,

We may take sorrow by mistake.

Sometimes in a moment of forgetfulness,

I lose my self-respect and I may allow myself to get hurt,

To get irritated,

To get angry.

And sometimes we hold on to those memories within our mind.

But yet it is essential to forgive and to forget in order to be able to move on.

A mind that is burdened by negative memories,

Negative experiences of the past,

Such a mind cannot be happy.

A prerequisite for happiness is freedom and lightness.

And therefore,

It is important to be able to forgive.

When we forgive,

It is the forgiver who benefits more than the forgiven.

Forgiveness is a quality of the strong.

The weak cannot forgive.

When we forgive,

We don't change the past,

But this does allow us to be free to create the future we want.

Forgiveness enables us to release the burdens of the past and to give the mind the gift of lightness of Spirit.

And this in turn invites the experience of deep and true joy.
