This took me a while to get into, as the music selected is used as background music for almost all of the sleep meditations one of my long-time favorite meditation teachers uses. I actually have listened to them for so long that I have the beginnings of all of them memorized. In the few other instances where this music is used by others, I've had difficulty listening, simply because my brain kept expecting to hear his voice and words, and that was decidedly jarring.
You, however, broke the mold on this one. I think is was a combination of framing it as a morning practice (even though I did fall back to sleep) and how very different both your voice and the words were. It's the first time I've really been able to listen to this music with anyone else's voice overlaid - but I can now assure you that it won't be the last! This was fantastic!
I woke up with the timer saying the track had ended 13 minutes prior. I typically listen to calm and soothing tracks in the morning as I'm waking up, trying to motivate myself to switch to the tracks I use for my morning mobility/physical therapy exercises.
This piece left me smiling as I woke up, ready to get going on those exercises so I could move forward with the day of writing and research I have ahead of me. This level of readiness and motivation is a rarity for me. Thank you so incredibly much for putting this track together and sharing it with us here in the Insight Timer community. I will be returning to this practice often, I can already tell. 😄
