Could five quiet minutes help you feel more at peace? Vanessa begins by asking you to find a comfortable position, close your eyes and take three breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth, then let the breath settle into its natural rhythm for the rest of the practice. She guides your attention from the top of the head through the forehead, eyebrows, eyes, mouth and jaw, then the shoulders, arms, hands, chest, back, stomach, hips, legs and feet, inviting each area to relax. The practice closes with a moment of stillness and gratitude for the calm, and a reminder that this feeling is available to you at any time. This content is educational and is not a substitute for one to one professional care.
