Good morning.
Find a comfortable seat.
And allow your hands to rest somewhere easy.
If it feels comfortable,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
One more time.
Breathe in.
No need to do this perfectly.
Breathe out,
Just arrive here.
Before the messages,
The conversations,
The responsibilities.
Before the world asks anything of you.
You are here.
Maybe you woke up today and already feel tightness in the chest.
Restless.
Like your mind is already running ahead.
Maybe the day feels heavy before it's even begun.
If any of that's here.
Just allow it.
You don't need to get rid of any of those feelings before you can arrive here.
For these next few moments,
You can put everything down.
There's nothing to hold together or figure out.
Just breathe and receive the energy of this new day.
Now bring your awareness to the space above the top of your head.
Sense this area as if there was an open sky above you.
Quiet.
Spacious and endless.
On your next inhale,
Imagine the breath entering from that space above you.
Let it gently travel downward through the crown of the head and arriving softly in the center of the chest.
And as you exhale,
Allow the breath to move outward from the heart.
Softly.
And easily.
Again breathing in,
The breath pours in from the crown of the head.
Allowing the heart to receive energy for this new day.
Breathing out.
Letting that energy move outward from the heart.
Again,
Breathing in,
Receiving as though life were gently pouring itself into you.
Breathing out,
Sharing from the fullness of your heart rather than the effort.
Again,
Breathing in,
Receiving from an endless source,
Filling the heart.
Breathing out,
Allowing what's alive within you to move out into the world.
And continue now with your own rhythm.
Breathing in,
You're receiving.
And breathing out your offerings.
Not to give yourself away.
But simply so that you can live from the heart today.
You receive on your inhale.
And sharing who you are on the exhale.
And now let the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Feel the body exactly as it is.
And notice the space in the chest.
Soft,
Open,
And quiet.
And perhaps notice that your anxiety might not have completely disappeared.
The mind might still want to move.
You might feel that the day is waiting.
But just notice there's more space around it.
More room inside of you.
And when there's space,
Everything just flows differently.
You don't need to spend your day trying to outrun your mind.
You don't need to force yourself into calm.
You only need to remember.
There's a place inside you that knows how to open.
And it's only a breath away.
So if the day begins to feel loud or fast or overwhelming,
Simply pause.
Receive.
And create space in the heart again.
So let's take one final breath in together,
Receiving.
And breathing out,
Making space Begin to notice the room around you.
The sounds.
The air on your skin.
The support beneath you.
Bring both hands to the center of the chest.
Gently bowing your chin.
In gratitude for this moment.
For your body.
And for your life.
I wish you a beautiful,
Spacious day.
