I remember my 20s: I spent so much time trying to understand my own mind moving through different diagnoses, living (or being stuck) in my head wondering why I could feel so full of potential yet keep burning myself out. I was loud, bright, energetic on the outside and quietly falling apart behind closed doors. Shame has a way of muting even the most vocal souls. I remember my 20s: I’ve always been good at finding belonging wherever I land, but inside there was still this part of me that just wanted to be heard, seen, received, loved. I didn’t know how to make sense of my brain back then. I remember watching the episode of Modern Love: Take Me As I Am The Way I Am, and having a curious mind, I also dug into all the stories of the writer and the main character behind it and found her articles featured in The New Yorker; and then I came across this sharing: I hope you enjoy it :) And tell me where it hurts, okay?
