Let your muscles become soft and relax.
Bring awareness to your breath.
Imagine any stiffness becoming soft like butter.
Breathe air into this area.
My thoughts are quiet and peaceful.
You feel centered and balanced.
Inhale.
Allow your breath to travel through the nostrils to the back of the throat,
Up the spine and to the belly.
Exhale down the spine,
Vertebra by vertebra.
Now zoom out and focus your attention on your body as a whole.
Rest for a moment,
Feeling very safe and secure.
And you may even be aware of the energy and vibrations around your body.
And as you focus on your body,
Just acknowledge any feelings or sensations that come by.
Imagine any fear or distress dissolving away.
Letting go,
Letting go.
Surrender.
And now I want you to imagine you're sitting near a beautiful stream.
You hear the birds chirping,
The sound of the trickling stream as the sun sparkles on the surface of the water.
And the sound of the trickling water fascinates you and brings your awareness to the present moment and it feels like time is standing still.
And as you continue to watch the water,
You express gratitude.
Watching the ebb and flow and the leaves coming down the stream.
And just for a moment,
Imagine that every thought that is coming into your awareness you begin to place on different leaves flowing down the stream.
Simply acknowledge the thoughts and let them go.
Watch it flow out of sight.
Breathe.
Nothing else matters in this present moment.
I feel centered and relaxed.
