Welcome to this harp and wellness guided meditation for a new beginning.
This spoken meditation will be accompanied by uplifting harp music for revitalization.
Whether you are beginning a new season of your life,
Or simply a new week or new day,
This meditation will help you let go of what isn't serving you so you can create a welcoming space for what's to come.
To begin this meditation,
Make sure you are in a comfortable position that invites confidence.
This might be sitting with your spine straight,
But you choose the posture that works best for you.
Settle in and notice your body's presence in the space around you.
If it helps to close your eyes,
You may do so.
Gently inhale through your nose,
And let your exhale out your mouth with a sigh.
Now just breathe,
Continuing to settle into your practice.
You chose this meditation because you are on the cusp of change.
This might be a big transition in your life,
Or it might be a new day with all of its possibilities ahead.
Whatever this new beginning is for you,
Imagine it in your mind.
As this new beginning comes to life in your mind,
What feelings arise with it?
You might be feeling excitement,
Anticipation,
Or hope.
You might be feeling fear,
Anxiety,
Or stress.
Every single one of these feelings is a normal reaction to the future.
Your mind is filling in the gaps of the unknown.
You might have noticed that some of your feelings are more pleasant than others.
When an unpleasant feeling arises,
Remind yourself that it holds no greater power than any other feeling.
However,
You have the power to release that feeling if it isn't serving you.
Let's try a little exercise to release one of these feelings now.
Bring that feeling into full focus.
Don't be afraid of it.
It doesn't have a hold on you,
Nor does it dictate anything about your new beginning.
Sit with this feeling for another moment.
Now take a deep breath in,
And on your exhale,
Blow that feeling away.
Repeat this process as many times as you need to feel that release.
You have the full ability to take exactly what you need into your future,
And to leave behind everything that you no longer need.
If you haven't yet,
Return to a normal breath.
Now let a new image form of you in your future.
This might be later today,
Or in a few weeks,
Months,
Or years.
Now imagine that image being lit up by a vibrant yellow light,
Like a ray of sunshine is shining on your future.
Feel the hope and protection of this light.
Sit with this image for as long as you need as the harp music gradually fades away.
And whenever you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and guide your mind back to the space around you.
