Hello and welcome to this guided meditation focused on kindness.

Taking a moment to deeply pause and allow yourself time to focus on kindness.

As you begin this practice,

You might start to notice your body or even a part of your body as it's being supported in this moment.

You might start to notice any sounds around you.

That might be the sound of my voice,

The sound in your space,

Just allowing them to be part of this experience,

Not good or bad,

Just part of this experience.

And as you settle in for this short practice,

I invite you to welcome the question,

What or who has helped me or is helping me right now?

Taking a moment to allow your answer to arise.

As you bring that to mind,

You might start to notice any places within your body that feel more pleasant or neutral.

You might notice a deeper breath,

Maybe any muscle relaxation.

You might start to notice maybe a lightness,

A shift in your thoughts or your emotions or not,

Just getting curious.

Now I'd like to invite you to bring to mind a very specific moment,

Could be big or small,

Of when someone was kind to you.

Could be as simple as someone opening the door for you,

Sharing a kind word of encouragement or love or inspiration or belief in you.

Could be a moment when someone helped you financially,

Emotionally.

You might even bring to mind a time when you were generous or kind to someone else.

Thinking of a specific moment or time that you generously gave to others.

It may have been in your time,

May have been your energy,

May have been prayers or well wishes,

It may have been financially.

It may have been financially.

Just taking a moment to acknowledge that generosity,

That kindness that you both perhaps have received and given.

Just allowing your mind and body to settle on that generosity.

An invitation to check in with your body,

Perhaps noticing any places that feel more pleasant or neutral as you bring that to mind.

Just allowing yourself to sit with those sensations,

Those physical experiences that also live within your body in this present moment.

I'm noticing a deeper breath,

Noticing a slower heart rate that feels like it's slowing down.

It feels really pleasant.

Collectively we can sit in this experience,

This awareness of kindness,

Generosity and well-being.

Knowing this is always available to you,

You can bring this moment to mind whenever you need it and bring it back to what you notice within your experience,

Within your body,

In the present moment as you bring that to mind.

Thank you so much for both being willing to give and receive kindness.

It is so important to help our world heal.

Thank you so much.

Namaste.
